教学目标
1. 知识目标:

required to be able to speak, write and use these new words. 2.能力目标:
T h e s t u d e n t s a r e r e q u i r e d t o b e a b l e t o s p e a k a n d u s e t h e s e n e w w o r d s f r e e l y i n d a i l y l i f e.T h e teacher should as much as he/she can encourage the students to sp eak English.
3. 情感目标:
the teacher should create a condition where the students can enjoy themslves much while
they are learning. in other words, learning English should be a fun, not a boreing job.
过程与方法

the new knowledge.

The new words: tall, short, young, old, strong.

Enable students to speak and write these new words freely.

教学过程
Step1 warm-up
1.Sing a song.
2.review
review the words and sentences we learned in last semester throug h a game.
(game: show the words we learned in last semester on the screen o ne by one. The first
student stands up by his back heading towards the screen and the second st udent satnds by
facing the screen. The second student can perform or explain the word on the s creen, but he
can’t speak out th e word or its chin es e meaning. The first stud ent should ha ve a gu ess of this
word.)
Step2 new class presentation
1.teach the words “tall” and “short”
1) show a picture of giraffe on the screen and ask students how the y feel about the giraffe.
2) Show a picture of pig on the screen and ask students how they fe el about the pig.
3) Then make a contrast of these two pictures and ask the students what their feelings are
now.
4) show the two words “tall” and “short” on the screen. And students read the m by following
the teacher.
5) do some exercise
Show some pictures about tall and short and ask students to descri be them.
1.teach the words “young” and “old”
1.show the pictures of an old man and a young boy and ask studen ts to describe the two pictures in Chniese or English.
2.Show the two words “young” and “old” and explain their meanin.
3.Do some exercise about the two words.
2.teach the word “strong”
1.show the picture of a strong man and describe his muscle.
2.Show the word “strong” and say “ he is strong”.
3.The teacher show some
special gestures and say “I am strong”, which
enables students to understand the meaning of “strong”.
Step3 homework Recite and write the five new words.
