2）词序上的差异
英语句中单词修饰语一般放在中心词前面，短语 和从句一般放在中心词后面，汉语定语无论单词 还是词组一般放在中心词前面；英语的谓词状语 一般可出现在动词前后，汉语的谓词状语常在动 词之前；英语中叙述和说明事物时，习惯于从小 到大，从特殊到一般，从个体到整体，从近到远。 汉语的顺序一般则是从大到小，从一般到特殊， 从整体到个体，从远到近，两者顺序完全相反。

英语是屈折语(inflectional language)，汉语 是非屈折语(non inflectional language)，相 对而言，英语语言形态丰富。动词形态变化繁 复，这就使英语动词的使用受形态的牵制，而 名词就没有这个问题，因此名词在英语中占优 势，名词的优势导致了介词的伴随优势。汉语 词类没有形态变化问题。而动词与名词比较， 动词的动态感强，名词则较为凝滞，所以在汉 语中动词极为活跃。

2. 遵从习惯，使用规范标准的标识语 标识用语具有很强的规约性。受语言习惯的影响，很多标识语的 翻译都已约定俗成，不宜随意改动。例如：我们外出常见到的“小草 微微笑，请你走便道”、“请勿践踏”等标识语就不能生硬地译为 “Little grass is smiling slightly, please walk on pavement.”，而要 按照英语的习惯直接翻译成“Keep Off the Grass”。再比如：“前 方修路，请慢驾驶”和“该路段为单行道”可以按英语习惯分别翻译 为“Road Work Ahead”和“One-Way”。

6.1 转换成汉语动词
❖ 词类转换是英汉翻译中不可或缺的变通手段， 是突破原文词性束缚、避免貌合神离的硬译死 译，使译文准确、通顺、易懂的有效方法。
❖并不意味着词类转换可以随心所欲，而必须遵 循忠实于原文意义、使译文自然流畅、通顺易 懂的原则。
6.1 转换成汉语动词
❖ 英语动词远比汉语动词用得少。一个英语句子 （单句）往往只用一个限定性动词作谓语，而 在一个汉语句子中却可以出现几个动词。

6.1.2 介词（与介词短语）转译成动词

❖ 在忠实于原文的前提下，根据译入语的行文习 惯，适当进行词类转换（即将原文中属于某种 词类的词译成译语的另一类词），能使译文通 顺达意、自然流畅。
