Instruction
No display:
There is more than one reason caused this phenomenon, for There is more than one reason caused this phenomenon for example, wrong voltage, abnormal frequency, GPU can’t work well, etc. Among these reasons, false BIOS setting, power switch d l f di l h i
and power supply often cause no display. Another reason is output ,g g circuit failure, such as bad SMT inductor causes voltage signal not output normally.
A A.Debug card running well can conclude to wrong display output port.
1)Visual Inspection:if there is burnt mark,lost/shifted component,

or string scuffing on PCB board.
2)Monitor illumines green light with no display:chiefly GPU NG,
please measure whether the RSET voltage is1V.
3)Monitor illumines yellow light:5V NG,or else HSYNC or
VSYNC is bad,measurement need to be done whether the5V
,
amplifier input voltage is normal.
If OK
4)all5V,HSYNC and VSYNC is OK,consideration should be
taken whether the connector is OK or not.
B B.Debug card runs normally
1)Visual Inspection:if there is burnt mark,lost/shifted component,
or string scuffing on PCB board.

2)Clean golden figures,generally,dirty golden figures can cause )g g g y y g g
AGP card no display,and PCI-E card no display hanging up at D1.

3)Measure whether basic main voltage wave is OK,higher or lower.
4)Flash Bios.If can’t flash OK,more possibility is GPU bad,but
sometimes BIOS IC maybe not good,too.

5)Change BIOS IC.Even if bad BIOS IC has lower rate.
6)If also bad,please try to change GPU.

GPU works wrong.Or GPU works well,but data exchange(with CPU) channel--PCIE bus has problem.

a)Visual inspection:if coupling capacitors of16pairs nearby golden figure
or shifted SMT inductors on bottom are bad.And if golden figures has

oxidize or obvious flax.
b)Measure whether these voltages is short to GND before power on:3.3V,
GPU voltage,Memory voltage,12V.

c)Power on,check if above voltages are OK,PCIE RST is3.3V,and clock
frequency is27.0MHz

d)If all above is OK,please check if the resistance between GND and each
data string of16pairs both on top and bottom is well,also to the resistance of each coupling capacitor of all16pairs(lower shows GPU NG,OL is GPU OPEN).
e)Consider change GPU.

Introduction
Screen Noise:
Screen noise has many types.If only a very small area displays garbage,most possible reason is resistor or array resistor nearby memory is bad,such as open,cold solder joint,short or wrong resistance.If screen noise with stripe garbage,it is more possible

Trouble Shooting——Single bit bad
A. Check if the array resistor on the path has solder problem or wrong resistance. Check if the connect between GPU and the memory channel is OK.
B. Measure the resistance between the bad bit and GND, if it B.Measure the resistance between the bad bit and GND,if it closes to OK board, the most possibility is memory bad, change memory; if it higher by 100Ohm, GPU OPEN.

It is most possible that memory is bad, memory reference voltage
,
VREF needs to be measured, which is 1V transferred from memory power FBVDDQ by two resistors, as well as reference frequency CLK, please contrast OK card, accordant wave forms is considered OK.
If the resistance to GND is measured lower, most possibility is
If the resistance to GND is measured lower most possibility is memory bad; higher by 80Ohm is GPU path wrong, or GPU wrong.
A.Visual Inspection: if there is burnt mark, lost/shifted

Trouble Shooting g
1.Hang up is likely to occur in running3D test program,picture
pauses.Sometimes,test will go on after pause for several seconds, so please wait a moment to see result.
2.When test can’t go on,and no response to press Number Lock key,it
is“hang up”.This time,instantly power on is in vain,GPU NG and power supply deficiency can cause the phenomenon,as well as weak heat dissipate,if so,please power off,and then test again after card is cooled.

3.Try to lower memory or engine’s frequency,for example,memory
frequency can be turned down from196MHz to180MHz,also to engine clock set up.If pass,please check whether BIOS or GPU is bad.

4.Generally speaking,hang up is caused by GPU Engine bad,can
change GPU.

Trouble Shooting g
1.Visual Inspection: Check if component nearby connector is OK,
not shifted, and no string scuffing on PCB board.
2.Check R,G,B resistor is 75 Ohm, if higher, please check if
related circuit has string cut, two 150 Ohm resistors are OK. If

lower, problem generally is GPU NG.
3.Measure R,G,B waveform using oscillograph probes, if there 3Measure R G B waveform using oscillograph probes if there is no waveform, GPU can’t send it out, change GPU. If there is proper waveform, maybe the connector or string is NG.
