英语连词课件
连词：
主要作用是:
连接单词与单词、短语与短语、 句子与句子。它是虚词,不能在句子 中作成分.
1.并列连词 2.从属连词
一.并列连词 用来连接平行的词，词组或句子。常见的 并列连词有：
(1)表并列关系的and, both…and,
not only…but also, neither…nor, as well as等。
3) Lucy is kind and she likes helping others.
注意: 1.在否定句中把and 改为or
例如: There is no air or water on the moon. 2. both…. and 既….又 例如: Both I and she like sleeping.
1.if 如果
I will go there if it doesn’t rain tomorrow.
Please tell me if you know the answer. 2. unless 除非 I will go there with you unless you
agree with me.
I will go there with you unless my mother tells me not to .
1. since 既然，自从 Since water is very important ,we must try our best to protect it.
2. as 由于，因为 语气最弱 As it is raining heavily, you’d better
stay at home.
3. because 因为 语气最强 Lucy didn’t go to school because she was ill ysterday.
neither…nor 既不…也不 (连接主语时要就近原则) 例如: Neither you nor Lucy works hard not only ….but also 不但…而且(连接主语时要就近原 例如: Not only Mike but also his sister has been to London as well as 既…又(也), 不仅 …而且 例如: Lily can sing as well as dance.
7. as. 当…时候, 一边….一边.. 例如: I met my old friend as I was walking 8. whinileth在e.s.时tre候et,.而
例如: While I was doing my homework ,my brother was sleeping .
He was ill, so he didn’t go to school.
二. 从属连词
从属连词用来引导从句。常见的从属连词有：
(1)引导时间状语从句的after, before, when, while, as, until, till, since, as soon as等。 (2)引导条件状语从句的if, unless等。 (3)引导原因状语从句的because, as, since等。 (4)引导目的状语从句的so that, in order that等。 (5)引导让步状语从句的though, although, even if等。 (6)引导结果状语从句的so…that, such…that等 (7)引导比较状语从句的than, as…as, less..than等。 (8)引导宾语从句的 if , whether, when等。

We have studied English for ten years, yet
we can’ t speak it well.
1. for 因为
He didn’t go to school, for he was ill.
2. so 所以
(2)表选择关系的or, either…or等。 (3)表转折关系的but, however, yet等。 (4)表因果关系的for, so等。
