This reading material is chosen from Unit 9, grade 8 “Go For It”. The title of the unit is “Have you ever been to a museum?”, and the title of the reading material is “Singapore---- A place you will never forget!”

The article introduces a foreign country---- Singapore. It describes the reasons why Singapore is a place you will never forget from 4 different aspects (language, food, zoo and weather). The theme of the article is about opening oneself and being open to the world. It encourages students to open themselves to explore the world. More importantly, it helps the students cultivate the International Perspective. At the same time, the structure of the article is very clear, which is made up of 5 paragraphs.
