Period one 主谓一致
主谓一致,主语和谓语动词在语法上,意义上保持一致。其有三个方面的原则。一,语法一致原则
即主语是单数/复数形式时,谓语动词也要采用单数/复数形式。
1,不定代词作主语时,谓语动词用单数。
2,由each, each….and each…., every…and every…作主语,谓语动词用单数。3,The number of …作主语时,谓语动词用单数,one+单数名词+and a half作主语时用单数。
4,不定式或v.ing形式作主语,谓语动词用单数。
5,a pair of (a kind, a series…)+of +复数名词,谓语动词用单数。
6,and, both…and…连接名词作主语,谓语动词用复数形式。
7,a number of 加可数名词复数,谓语动词用复数
8,只有复数形式的名词(clothes, pants, shoes, gloves, trousers…)作主语时,谓语动词用复数。
9,在主语后有with,along with, together with, as well as, no less than, more than, including, besides,like, except, but等,谓语动词单复数和主语的单复数决定。10,分数,百分数加of加名词作主语,谓语动词单复数和该名词相关,
二,意义一致原则
1,由and 连接的两个名词作主语,如果是指同一概念(即and后面没有冠词),则谓语动词用单数形式。
e.g. The teacher and writer is coming to talk to us.
2,表示金钱,价格,时间,长度等复数名词作主语时,将其看成一个整体,谓语动词用单数。
e.g. Three years is a long time.
3,集体名词(family,team, crowd, company, class, group, government…)表示整体概念用单数,表示个体概念用复数
4,people, police, cattle等集合名词作主语时,谓语动词用复数。
e.g. The police are helping a girl find her mother.
5. 算式加乘单复数均可,但是减除用单数
三,就近原则
1,由or, either….or…., neithr…nor…, not only…but also, not…but…连接的两个主语时,谓语动词和其较近的主语保持一致
e.g. Not only Tom but also I am looking forward to meeting Mr.Yu.
2,There be…和here be中的be动词和离其最近的主语保持一致
