In international trade, if a deal is to be clinched, both sellers and buyers must observe the contract stipulations. Sellers must send the export goods as required while buyers must accept the qualified goods. But sellers and buyers usually live a long distance apart from each other, so it is necessary that, besides the sellers and buyers, there be a third party, an authentic surveyor, to give an official inspection on the quality, quantity and packing of the export or import goods, and provide some authoritative certificates for the goods. This is called Commodity Inspection.
