Teaching Procedures:

I. Greetings and lead in.

II. Reading.

Task 1. Read for information.

What is the style of the passage?Narration 记叙

Tense(时态): Past tense

Main idea:My dad took good care of his carnations.

Moral lesson/ theme:love

Characters:My dad/ my mom/ Maria/ I

Task2: Read for emotion:

Carnations are my dad’s most favorite flower---Dad’s love for FLOWER

Please find some supporting details to show my dad’s love for the flower.

Did we love our dad? Can you show some evidence?

Maria & I --- my dad’s best flower???

III. Writing.

T: Just now, we talk a lot about My Dad’s Best Flowers. Now, use at least five words and phrases to finish writing. After writing, I will ask some of you to share your writing with classmates.
