HUNAN CONSTRUCTION ENGINEERING GROUP consists of Hunan Construction Engineering Group Corporation (the parent corporation with its core enterprises, founded in July 1952 and being the first corporation that has gained the Qualification of Super Grade for building construction) and its close subsidiary companies which are respectively the First Engineering Company, the Second Engineering Company LTD., Third Engineering Company, the Fourth Engineering Company, the Fifth Engineering Company, the Sixth Engineering Company, the Industrial Equipment Installation Company (each with various qualifications of Grade I for general contracts) and the Engineering Machinery Factory. Moreover, it also owns HNCEG Design & Research Institute with Qualification of Grade A for architectural design, Hunan Professional Institute of Urban Construction Technology, Hunan Advanced Construction Workers School (Changsha Workers University) and Hunan Provincial Construction Technology Research Institute. Based on all these facts, HNCEG is a large state-owned enterprise that has developed comprehensive

capabilities of survey & design, scientific research, personnel training, building & installation, road & bridge construction, ready-mixed concrete production, equipment manufacturing, goods leasing, engineering supervision & consultancy and real estate development. In addition, HNCEG has gained special permits for overseas operation of contract business, labor cooperation business and import & export trade business. HNCEG has engaged more than 100000 employees, 21800 of whom are technical personnel of various specialties. With assets of RMB 5 Billion and a production capacity of over RMB 40 Billion.

HNCEG has set up its branches or offices in more than 29 provinces, autonomous districts or cities in China. Ever since its founding more than fifty years ago, HNCEG has successfully completed a great number of various design and construction projects in such fields as industrial & civil building construction, road & bridge construction, hydropower generation, mechanical & electrical installation, interior & exterior decoration, information technology and municipal infrastructure. More than 300 of these projects have respectively won Hunan Provincial Super Quality Awards, Hunan Provincial Lotus Awards and National Super Quality Awards. Particularly in the last

10 years, HNCEG has consecutively won 31 national “China Building Construction Luban Awards”. In the 1950s, HNCEG started to figure in the international market, having so far accomplished more than 200 projects on both economic-aid and contract basis in over 30 countries and regions. Presently, HNCEG is further developing the market in East Europe, Africa, West Asia and South East Asia, and meanwhile is building up a good business relationship with companies of USA, Japan, Germany, France and Australia, etc.

In the recent years, HNCEG has been making a great effort to promote its business spirit of “First-rate, Superiority, Excellence, Dedication” and to implement the strategy of “Everyone Be A Marketer”, in order to gain the great target of building up our corporation into a “China Aircraft-Carrier of Building Construction”. As a result, HNCEG figured among the front ranks of the top 100 enterprises in Hunan Province consecutively for the years of 2002~2008, while being Top One of non-monopolized enterprises.
