一．教材分析

（一）地位与作用

这是第五单元的第五课时，是一节阅读课，主要介绍了三种传统的中国艺术形式：孔明灯，剪纸和中国陶艺。学生或多或少有一些了解，通过学习这样的一个阅读话题，可以提高学生的阅读兴趣。

（二）教学目标和重难点

Knowledge Objects: 掌握词汇和短语：its, form, clay, celebration，balloon,

paper cutting, scissors, lively, fairy tale, heat，polish, complete，send out, be covered

with, rise into

put…on, turn…into ……

Ability Objects：学生能读懂有关描述孔明灯、剪纸和陶艺的中国传统工艺

的文章。

Moral Objects: 学生能根据所学内容，更多地接触中国的传统工艺，并

能将之传承下来。

Important and Difficult Points:To develop student’s reading skills.

课前活动

Word review：

设计意图：检查作业预习情况。

Greeting：

Step1: leading-in

watch a short video about paper cutting.

设计意图：通过观看剪短的视频，让学生直观的领会剪纸的过程，从而导出传统艺术这个话题，引起学生的兴趣

Step 2: Pre-reading

1.What do you know about traditional art, like paper cutting?

设计意图：考察学生对中国的传统艺术了解多少。

2.Try to predict what the passage talks at.

设计意图: 考察学生的判断推理能力

Step3: While-reading

plete the chart.
