吉林省白城市农业科学院简介白城市农业科学院是吉林省西部半干旱特殊生态区唯一的农业综合性科研机构。成立于1942年（南满龙江省劝农模范场白城分场）、1958年组建白城地区农业科学研究所、1996年更名为吉林省白城市农业科学院。

吉林西部特殊的地域特点和气候条件奠定了白城市农科院特色研究领域的科研优势，在燕麦、向日葵、杂粮杂豆等研究上居全国领先地位，是吉林省西部农业科技创新和农业技术推广最前沿、最主要的科技团体。农科院人员编制252人，现有在职职工237人，其中：专业技术人员139人。高级科技人员78人（研究员41人），中级科技人员33人，享受国务院政府特殊津贴专家3人，吉林省突出贡献专家4人，吉林省学科带头人4人，吉林省创新拔尖人才6人。

全院下设14个研究所，一个农业综合化验中心。3个国家研究中心、2个国际合作研究中心、2个省级研究中心、5 个国家级基地设在农科院。是国家燕麦荞麦产业技术体系首席科学家单位和技术研发中心依托单位，也是国家农业部公益型行业科研燕麦专项、948燕麦重大项目首席专家单位；是全国向日葵研究学组组长单位；是国家向日葵产业技术研发体系岗位科学家及育种研究室技术依托单位、国家食用豆产业技术研发体系岗位科学家单位、国家高粱产业技术研发体系、国家水稻产业技术研发体系综合试验站依托单位，国家农业部北方农牧交错区作物科学试验观测站建设依托单位。与加拿大、美国、俄罗斯、澳大利亚、塞尔维亚、挪威、瑞典、荷兰、芬兰、日本、奥地利等20多个国家建立了广泛的科研合作和技术交流关系。是国内地市级农科院中科研实力较强的研究单位之一。

十年来，白城市农科院从当地的实际情况出发，以地方农业发展提供技术支撑和服务地方经济建设为宗旨，把科研自主创新作为全院的重要工作来抓，先后取得农业科研成果200余项，获国家、省、市各级部门奖励138项，审定农作物新品种60个，为吉林省西部及周边地区农业经济的持续发展奠定了坚实的科研基础和技术支撑。

Jilin Province Baicheng Academy of Agricultural Sciences is the only comprehensive scientific research institution of agriculture in the special semiarid ecological region of western Jilin province. Its predecessor，Longjiang Province Model Advised Agricultural Farm Baicheng Branch，was founded in 1942. Baicheng Prefecture Agricultural Science Research Institute was formed in 1958, and in 1996 it renamed to Baicheng Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Jilin Province.

The special regional characteristics and climate conditions here laid the characteristics and advantage foundation of agricultural scientific research in Baicheng Academy, and the research works of oat, sunflower, edible beans and cereal crops are at the top situation in the country, so it is the forefront of and the most major science and technology group of agricultural sci-tech innovation and agricultural technology extension in western Jilin province. There are 237 staff in the academy, including 139 professional technicians, of whom 78 senior scientific and technical personnel (41 researchers) and 33 middle-level technicians. 3 experts enjoy special allowance from the State Council, 4 persons are outstanding contribution experts of Jilin province, 4 persons are subject leaders of Jilin province, and 6 persons are innovation talent of Jilin province.

The academy consists of 14 research institutes, an agricultural comprehensive testing centre，3 national research centers, 2 international cooperation research centers, 2 provincial research centers and 5 national research bases. It is the chief scientist unit of national oat and buckwheat industry technology system and technology development center, and the chief expert unit of state agriculture ministry public type industry research oat special project and “948 oat major project”. It is also the leader unit of national sunflower research group and the national sunflower industry technology development system post scientists and the breeding laboratory technology relying on unit, and national edible bean industry technology development system post scientists unit, and base unit of national sorghum industry technology development system and national rice industry technology development system experiment station. It is the construction base unit for crop scientific observation station of agriculture ministry in northern agro-pastoral zoned. We have established a wide range of scientific cooperation and exchange relations with more than 20 countries such as Canada，USA, Russia, Australia, Serbia, Norway, Sweden，Netherlands, Finland, Japan and Austria. It is one of the strongest municipal-grade research units on agricultural scientific research strength in the country.

Baicheng Academy of Agricultural Sciences continuously has been based on the local reality, in order to provides technology support for local agricultural development and to service local economic construction，emphasize independent technology innovation as the most important work, and has made more than 200 items of agricultural achievements, 138 items of scientific results are awarded with the prizes at the national，provincial, or municipal levels. 60 new varieties of crops have been released. It has laid a substantial scientific foundation and provided technology support for agricultural economic sustained development of Jilin province western region and surrounding area。
