• 他是人类历史上第一个驾车冲 过300MPH大关的人。1885年3 月11日出生于英国Kent郡。 1924年就以235.22KPH打破当时 的LSR，驾驶的是一台名为 Sunbeam的赛车，装备350PS的 V12引擎。此后，他驾驶 Sunbeam公司生产的车9次打破 LSR。1927年2月4日，他驾驶 Napier-Campbell Blue Bird赛车， 开始挑战LSR，并且最终在美国 Bonneville盐滩创造历史——成 为人类历史上第一个突破 300MPH陆地速度的人，当时他 的速度为301.331948年，在数 次中风之后，于Surrey去世，享 年63岁。
