♥ Part 1 迎亲
Go to the bride’s home to escort bride
One day , a family whose surname is Shu will marry their daughter. Now , they are eating dumplings together. In traditional Chinese wedding, it is a ceremony before the daughter leaves her parents to show the departure. Then, the bridegroom is coming to pick up his bride with a brunch of flowers on his hand. However ,the friend of the bride will not allow the bride groom to come in easily unless he agrees some terms. Generally ,the bridegroom will give a red paper containing money . Then, the bride will kneel down to say goodbye to her parents while the bridegroom just bow to them.
♥ Part 3 拜堂
Perform the formal
wedding ceremony
In China , this part calls “baitang”. That is , in the traditional wedding ceremony , bride and bridegroom perform the marriage ceremony in which they pay homage (敬意 to heaven and earth and to 敬意) 敬意 the groom’s parents. We can see the man seated in the left side is bridegroom’s father, and the other side is his mother. And this is bride , this is bridegroom . I am the man who officiate the wedding like the priest in foreign countries. OK, let’s show you the part. M: Now, bride and bridegroom ,please come here and kneel down. M: First, bow to the great heaven and earth! M: Second, bow to the great parents! M: Bridegroom and bride bow to each other! Now , the ceremony is over. please send the bride to the bridal chamber (洞房 洞房). 洞房

♥ Part 4 洞房
bridal chamber
The bridegroom and bride are sitting on the bed of the bridal chamber. The newlywed couple will drink wine from two cups tied together with a red string , arm crossed from each other.(交杯 交杯 酒) When the night falls, the teasing game starts. Usually , all the young men can participate in the game , except for the bride’s married brother-in-law. Those funny and silly game will ease the tension, since the newlywed never meet each other before the wedding. Four fruit:大枣（jujube), 花生 大枣（ 花生(peanut), 桂圆 桂圆(longan), 莲子 大枣 (lots seed)~(寓意：早生贵子 寓意： 寓意 早生贵子)
♥ Part 2 送亲
Accompany bride to bridegroom’s family on wedding day
After saying goodbye to the bride’s parents ,the bride should get into a sedan chair like this …and there will be some happy music .Then these people will escort the bride to the groom. In front of the groom’s house ,they will stop . Then , a child with an orange in her hand will come . The bride should touch the orange ,which can bring longevity . After that , a blissful （有福气的）old person will come to 有福气的） help the bride cross a brazier（火盆） ,which means that （火盆） inauspicious（不吉祥的） things will be driven out . （不吉祥的） Then, the bride should cross the threshold （跨火盆）， 跨火盆）， ），but her feet can not touch it.

Good afternoon ,everyone. Our presentation is about the traditional Chinese wedding. Chinese wedding is complicated and joyous . Today , we will show you the main five parts of the process of Chinese wedding . Please enjoy our presentation .
♥ Part 5 奉茶
Tea ceremony
A day after the wedding ceremony , the bride has to serve tea to the bridegroom’s parents and elder in the morning. It is called the tea ceremony. The couple kneel down in front of the bridegroom’s parents and serve them each a cup of the tea. W：“Dad ,please have the tea” ： D : “ Thank you ,good kid!” W: “Mom ,please have the tea” M：“ Thank you ,good kid!” ： After parents drinking the tea, they will give the bride a red paper containing money as a gift and bless the couple . “Hope you two have a happy life and enjoy yourself in the marriage ” Drinking tea contains everyone’s hope and bless to the new couple . Hope that their relationship is a harmonious union lasting a hundred years and tie the knot to have a lifetime of happiness. Furthermore, hope them have a lovely baby. It means the bride is one of their family.
