1My Summer Holiday AdventuresYay! Summer holiday is finally here! No more school for two whole months. I'm so excited to have fun and go on adventures.First, my family went on a trip to the countryside. We visited my grandparents who live in a small village. Their house is really old but cozy, made of wood and bricks. There's a veggie garden out back where they grow delicious tomatoes, cucumbers, and green beans. Grandpa also has a little tool shed full of rakes, shovels, and other gardening tools. He taught me how to use them to pull weeds and plant seeds. Getting dirty was so fun!Every morning, I helped Grandma collect eggs from the chicken coop. The chickens would make such a ruckus, clucking and flapping their wings. I had to be careful not to get pecked! After gathering the eggs, we'd go milk the cow together. Her name is Bessie and she's super gentle. I got to pull on her teat udders to squirt the milk into a metal pail. Doesn't that sound cool? It was my first time doing farm chores. At night, we sat around the fire pit out back, roasting marshmallows and singing campfire songs like "She'll Be Coming Round the Mountain." I made the biggest, gooiest s'more you've ever seen! Grandpa told us spooky stories about the haunted barn down the road that made me jump. The countryside was so peaceful and quiet compared to the busy city we live in.After a week at my grandparents', we went to stay at Uncle Rick's beach house by the ocean. I love the beach! We went swimming and boogie boarding in the waves every day. The salty water stung my eyes but I didn't care. I spent hours making elaborate sandcastles, digging deep moats, and decorating them with seashells. Once, I even found a sand dollar!Uncle Rick took us on his boat one day to go fishing. We used stinky bait and strong fishing rods to catch supper right out of the ocean! I reeled in a whole bunch of fish like tuna, cod, and halibut. Their scales felt so slippery. We had a delicious fish barbecue on the beach that night. Uncle Rick showed me how to start the fire using just sticks and kindling. I felt like a real survivor man! Some nights, we would take relaxing walks along the beach at sunset. The ocean reflected the colorful streaks in the twilight sky. It looked just like a painting! My little sister and I spent agesfinding "perfect" shells to add to our collection. We'd run and play in the glistening shallow tide pools too, stalking little minnows and crabs. The salt air and sounds of the crashing waves were so calming. On the way home from the beach, we stopped at a water park that had awesome water slides and splash areas. My favorite was the hugeeeee bucket that slowly filled up, then suddenly dumped thousands of gallons of water on everyone below! I got drenched but just laughed and laughed. The lazy river was fun too, gently pulling me along as I floated on my tube.I didn't want to leave! Now that I'm back home, I'm sad that summer is almost over. School starts up again way too soon. At least I have a whole summer's worth of exciting memories and adventures to look back on! I'll never forget feeding farm animals, going fishing and crabbing, building sandcastles, and playing at the waterpark. This was the funnest vacation ever! I can't wait until next summer.篇2My Favorite WeekendHi everyone! I'm so excited to tell you all about my favorite weekend. It was last month, and boy was it fun!On Saturday morning, I woke up feeling great. The sun was shining through my bedroom window and I could hear the birds singing outside. I got dressed quickly because I didn't want to miss a second of the beautiful day. After breakfast, my mom said we were going to the park! The park near my house has so many cool things - there are swings, seesaws, monkey bars, and even a big open field perfect for running around. As soon as we got there, I rushed over to the swings. Swinging as high as I can is one of my very favorite things to do at the park. I tried to swing so high I could kick a cloud! While I was swinging, I saw some of my classmates coming into the park too. Lily and Jason ran over and asked if I wanted to play tag with them. Tag is maybe the most fun game ever, so of course I said yes! We chased each other all around the playground, trying not to get caught. I was the fastest runner so I was "it" a lot, but I didn't mind at all. After running around for a long time, we were getting pretty hot. Lily's mom had the awesome idea to get ice cream from the cart near the park entrance. We all went racing over, excited for asweet treat. I got a double chocolate cone - my favorite! We sat on a bench enjoying our ice cream and watching little kids playing on the baby swings. Eating that cold ice cream really cooled me down.Once we finished our ice cream, Jason remembered he had brought his soccer ball to the park. He's the best soccer player in our class, so Lily and I were eager to learn from him. He showed us some crazy cool tricks, like doing keepie uppies and bending the ball when he kicked it. I tried doing the tricks too but mostly I just kicked the ball way too hard and sent it flying across the field! After playing soccer for a while, my dad called and said it was time to go home for lunch. I was having so much fun that I didn't want to leave, but my stomach was also growling because I had worked up quite an appetite with all that running around. My mom made my favorite meal for lunch - spaghetti and meatballs! She makes the best meatballs, nice and juicy. I slurped up those noodles as fast as I could. I love spaghetti so much. After lunch, I had a bit of homework to do for school the next week. I find homework pretty boring usually, but I knuckled down and did all my assignments for Chinese, math and Englishclass. Once I finished, I felt great getting it all done and out of the way.In the late afternoon, my dad asked if I wanted to go on a bike ride with him. Bike riding is another one of my favorite activities, so I was super excited. We got our helmets and headed out. We rode all around our neighborhood, waving at neighbors we passed. The fresh air and exercise felt amazing. For dinner, we had my other favorite meal - pizza! My mom ordered a half pepperoni, half veggie pizza from our local place. You can't beat a nice hot slice of pizza after being outside all day.I probably ate a few too many slices, but it was just so delicious. Finally, it was time for bed after such an action-packed day. I was completely tuckered out but felt so happy thinking about the fun I had had. Weekends with beautiful weather and no school are the absolute best. I can't wait for more days like that one soon! Thanks for reading about my favorite weekend. Let me know if you have any fun weekend stories to share too!篇3My Busy Summer VacationYay! Summer vacation finally came! No more classes, homework or getting up super early. I was so excited for all the fun activities and adventures I had planned.First up was going to summer camp for two weeks in the beautiful mountains. My parents dropped me off and I barely even felt sad saying goodbye because I was bursting with excitement! At camp, I stayed in a big cabin with seven other kids around my age. We had bunk beds and it felt like a big sleepover party every night. The counselors kept us really busy with tons of awesome activities. Every morning after breakfast, we went hiking along scenic trails through the forest and wildflower meadows. I loved breathing in the fresh, pine-scented air and listening to the birds chirping. A few times we even spotted deer! On the hikes, the counselors taught us cool nature stuff like how to identify different trees, plants, and animal tracks. After hiking, we had fun camp activities like canoeing across the pristine lake. The water was freezing cold but so refreshing on a hot summer day. I remember giggling so hard with my friends whenever a big wave rocked our canoe. Some kids tomahawk dunked each other into the lake on purpose! We alsowent swimming in the lake and played watersports like catching frisbees.Other activities included rock climbing up natural rock faces which was scary at first until I got used to it. The ropes and harnesses made me feel safe. My favorite was probably archery though. It took a lot of concentration and skill to hit the bullseye but I became a pretty decent archer by the end! We had arts & crafts time too where I made my parents awesome potholders and keychains out of plastic lace. I'll never forget those peaceful, fun-filled days in the great outdoors. When those two weeks ended, I cried because I didn't want to leave my new camp friends or the beautiful mountain scenery. But my parents promised we'd go camping again over the summer. Turns out they had already made plans for us to go on an epic road trip adventure! We piled into our trusty minivan and hit the road, driving hundreds of miles to visit awesome sights across the country. Our first stop was the Grand Canyon. Stepping up to the rim and seeing that massive, mile-deep canyon stretching for miles was totally breathtaking. The sheer size of it blew my mind! We went on a hiking trail along the rim and took a million pictures to try to capture the incredible views. The sunset over the canyonwas areal showstopper too, painting the rocks in vivid oranges and reds.Next, we drove to Yellowstone National Park which was a real wonderland. Like something from another planet! The bubbling, colorful hot springs and shooting geysers were so cool. We were lucky enough to see Old Faithful erupt, spewing steaming hot water hundreds of feet into the air. We jokingly called it Old Unfaithful since it kept going off at unexpected times. We also got to see lots of amazing wildlife in Yellowstone like hulking bison and their calves just ambling across the road. We had to stop and wait forever for a whole herd of them to cross. One time a bison calf got separated from its mom and we watched the mom frantically trying to find and call to it. I could relate since I'd be terrified if I lost my mom! We also spotted elk with huge antlers and some sneaky coyotes stalking smaller animals. Seeing those powerful, untamed animals in the wild was an unforgettable experience. From Yellowstone, we drove up to Mt. Rushmore in South Dakota. The sculpture of four huge presidential heads carved right into the rocky mountain was incredible. I couldn't imagine how long and hard the sculptors must have worked on thatjawdropping monument. We took a fun guided tour to learn all about the history and making of Mt. Rushmore. Our last stop was in Chicago where we went up to the observation decks of the tallest skyscrapers. I've never seen such a massive, bustling city before! The views from up so high were dizzying, looking down on all the tiny cars and buildings. I could barely even see people on the streets below. One silly thing we did was go on a special "Tilt" ride where the observation deck actually tilted you out and over the edge of the building at a wilddeclination! My heart was pounding so fast but it was thrilling. Finally, after three weeks on the road, we made it back home.I had so many incredible memories, souvenirs, and photos from our trip. Summer seemed to just fly by in the blink of an eye. Before I knew it, it was time to start preparing to go back to school - stocking up on new supplies, clothes, and getting back on a regular sleep schedule. As sad as I felt saying goodbye to summer, I was excited to see my school friends again and catch up on all the fun we had over break. Fourth grade, here I come!篇4My Awesome Summer VacationYay, summer vacation was here at last! No more school for two whole months. I was super excited to have so much free time to do fun things. The first couple of weeks, I just lazed around the house a lot.I slept in late every day until my mom yelled at me to get up. Then I plopped on the couch and watched cartoon shows pretty much all day while snacking on chips and candy. It was heaven! My parents kept nagging me though, saying I needed to "get some fresh air" and "exercise" but I didn't listen. After a while though, I did get pretty bored just sitting around all day. My best friend Mike lives down the street, so I started going over to his house a lot. We played videogames and built extensions onto his Lego city. His mom makes the best chocolate chip cookies too which was awesome.A few weeks into vacation, my parents signed me up for swimming lessons at the community pool. I wasn't super thrilled about it at first, since I'd rather have kept sleeping in. But it turned out to be really fun! By the end of the lessons, I had learned how to do torpedoes and jackknives off the diving board which was cool. I'll definitely want to take more lessons next summer. The highlight of my vacation though was definitely the week I went to sleepaway camp with Mike and some other friends from school. Camp Wildwood was located all the way across the state in the mountains. We stayed in these cool log cabins and did all sorts of awesome activities. In the morning, we went on long hikes through the woods and learned about different plants, trees, bugs and animals from the camp naturalists. One time we even saw a black bear from pretty close up! The naturalist said to stay calm and back away slowly, which we did. It was crazy! After lunch, we got to pick an activity like horseback riding, archery, arts and crafts, or all sorts of other cool things. Archery was my favorite. I wasn't very good at first but the instructor was really nice and helped me. By the last couple days, I was hitting bullseyes pretty regularly which felt so awesome. In the evenings, we had campfires and sang silly songs while roasting marshmallows for s'mores. One night, we did a cool scene from a play about settlers and Native Americans from way back. I was cheif of the Lenape tribe which was epic. I got to wear face paint and bellow mighty war cries! On the last night of camp, we had a huge waterballoon fight that was complete chaos. Everyone was drenched from head totoe but we didn't even care. It was just so fun hurling balloon after balloon at everyone. I can't wait to go back again next year! All too soon, my awesome summer vacation was over. I was really sad to have to go back to school and homework and getting up early again. But I have so many great memories from those two months off. I just hope summer vacation never ends!篇5My Summer VacationYay, summer vacation is finally here! No more school for two whole months. I'm so excited to have fun and go on adventures. This summer, my family went on a really cool trip. We visited my aunt and uncle who live in a different city. The drive there took forever - we were in the car for like 5 hours! My little brother Jason wouldn't stop asking "Are we there yet?" over and over again. It was so annoying. When we finally got to my aunt and uncle's house, they gave us all big hugs. I was really happy to see them because I hadn't seen them in a whole year. Their house is huge with a big backyard. Jason and I were so excited because they have a swimming pool! We asked if we could go swimming right away. After we unpacked our stuff, we all got our swimsuits on. I wore my favorite swimming trunks that are blue with yellow sharks on them. Jason's swimsuit has Baby Shark on it - he's obsessed with that song and drives me crazy singing it all the time. We raced outside to the pool and cannonballed in! The water was a little cold at first but it felt so refreshing on the hot summer day.We spent most of the day swimming and playing pool games. Jason got tired pretty quickly though and took a nap on the lounge chairs. I'm a really strong swimmer so I challenged my uncle to a contest of seeing who could swim the most laps without stopping. He ended up winning but it was close! I almost beat him.Later that night we had a big barbecue cookout in their backyard. My uncle grilled up some delicious burgers and hot dogs. We had all kinds of yummy sides like corn on the cob, potato salad, and fresh watermelon. For dessert there was ice cream sandwiches - my favorite! We got to eat outside on the patio and it was really nice. After dinner we had a fun water balloon toss game. We split into two teams - my aunt, Jason and I against my parents and uncle. We had to toss the balloon back and forth and try not tolet it break. Whoever dropped it was out. Jason's throws were pretty wild and got my aunt soaking wet! But my team still won in the end. When it started getting dark we made s'mores around the fire pit. My dad helped me roast the perfect golden brown marshmallow. S'mores are so gooey and delicious! While we ate the s'mores, we told spooky ghost stories. My aunt told one about a haunted house that made Jason cry. Babies! The next day we went to a really cool water park. It had huge twisting water slides that were so fast! There was also a lazy river where you could float along in a tube. My favorite was the wave pool because the waves would get super big. Jason wasn't a fan of that one - he prefers the kiddie pool area.We spent the whole day at the water park. We even stayed for the night show where they have music, dancing water fountains, and an awesome fireworks display. The fireworks were so pretty lighting up the sky. It was getting late by the time it finished so we headed home.On our last day we went to the city zoo. We saw all different types of animals like lions, tigers, bears, elephants, and monkeys. The funniest were these mischievous otters that kept splashingeach other. I also really liked the petting zoo area where we could gently pet and feed some deer, sheep, and goats.Right before we left to drive back home, my aunt and uncle gave us sweet handmade bracelets as souvenirs. Jason's had little sharks on it and mine had seashells. I'll treasure it forever and never take it off to remember our amazing summer trip.I had so much fun on our family vacation! We went swimming, had cookouts, played games, visited a water park, zoo, and more. I'm sad it's over but I can't wait for next summer so we can go on another awesome trip. Maybe my aunt and uncle can come visit us next time!篇6My Summer VacationYay! Summer vacation is finally here! No more school for two whole months. I'm so excited to have fun and go on adventures.First, I went to my grandparents' house in the countryside for a few weeks. It's my favorite place to visit because there are so many cool things to do there. Every morning, I helped my grandpa take care of the animals on their little farm. We havechickens, ducks, rabbits, and even two big pigs named Babe and Wilbur. Taking care of them was hard work but also lots of fun. After feeding the animals breakfast, I would go explore the fields and streams around their house. I caught tadpoles and looked for cool bugs under rocks. Once I even saw a snake slithering through the tall grass! I wasn't scared though because grandpa said it was just a harmless garden snake. Grandma didn't want me picking it up just in case.In the afternoons when it got really hot outside, I would read books in the shade of the big oak tree in their backyard. Grandpa built me a cool treehouse up there last summer. It's like my own secret hideout! Sometimes my cousins came over and we would play pirates looking for treasure up in the treehouse. We had to be careful not to fall out though! On the nights of the full moon, grandpa and I would go catch fireflies in glass jars with holes poked in the lids so they could breathe. We put them in my room at night and it looked like we had a bunch of little lanterns flickering. It was magical! In the mornings we always let them go before it got too hot out. I felt bad keeping them trapped too long. After a few weeks of farm adventures, we went to the big city to visit my other grandparents who live in an apartmentdowntown. The city was fun but also kind of boring compared to the countryside. There weren't any cool animals to play with or places to catch bugs and stuff. We did go shopping and to fun restaurants though. My favorite meal was getting dumplings from the food stalls in the night market! We also went to some really neat museums in the city about science and history. I thought the dinosaur skeletons and ancient artifacts were awesome. Who knew learning could be so fun? I got a kid's book about dinosaurs from the museum gift shop and have been reading it every night before bed.One weekend we took a bus to a nearby water park that had the craziest water slides I've ever seen! The purple one called the "Python Plummet" looked so scary but I decided to be brave and go on it. I've never gone so fast! It felt like I was going to fly off into outer space. After splashing down in the bright blue pool at the end, I wanted to go again and again. We were there all day and I didn't want to leave. Now that I'm back home, summer is starting to wind down. I've had such an amazing time this vacation! I got to experience the peaceful countryside and the exciting big city. I made so many fun memories spending time with my grandparents and cousins. Even though I love summer and never want it to end, Iactually can't wait to go back to school and tell all my friends about my awesome adventures. Maybe they'll get to come along with me next year!。
