八年级英语下册 Unit1—Unit4单元教学设计Unit1:When was he born?一、单元主题:When was he born ?本单元属于人与社会范畴,通过谈论名人来描述自己或别人的经历。

二、单元内容分析:本单元以“我们所崇拜的人物(People we admire)”为话题,主要内容是“谈论名人”。

SectionA通过谈论著名人物的出生年代以及所取得的伟大成就,学会运用句型 When was he/ she born? How lon g...?谈论名人的相关信息。

Section B 通过对著名人物的成长过程及所取得的伟大成就的学习,学会如何描述某名人的成长历程及所取得的巨大成就;掌握 when 引导的时间状语从句表达“当……多大岁数时”;掌握 can 的过去式 c ould(表示过去能、会)的用法。

通过本单元的学习,学会运用一般过去时描述名人的出生年代、成长历程及所取得的成就;掌握 wh- 引导的问句,how long 引导的问句以及 when引导的表达年龄的句型。
