《英语新课程标准》积极提倡任务型教学。

而本文主要阐述的内容是任务型教学在英语阅读课文中的体现。

在英语教学中积极运用任务型教学,将有利于提高初中英语教学的水平,提高学生运用语言的交际能力。

[关键词]理论基础有效方法实践过程自我评估一、任务型教学渊源任务型教学模式(Task-based Learning)是20世纪80年代外语教学研究者经过大量实践和研究总结出的具有重大影响意义的语言教学模式。

它将语言运用的基本理念转化为具有实践意义的课堂教学方式,其实质是交际教学思想的一种新的发展态势。

根据社会认知主义理论,学习语言的最终目的是在实际中使用语言,交流的过程与语言成品(Linguistic product)同样重要(张建伟、陈琦,1996)。

语言学习是一个积极的动态过程。

而以任务型教学活动为模式的英语课堂教学,其理论基础是“输入与互动”。

强调掌握语言大多是在交际活动中使用语言的结果,而不是单纯训练语言技能和学习语言知识的结果。

外语课堂教学中具有的“变化性互动”而形成的各项活动,即任务。

学生通过可以理解的输入与输出的对话性互动,来完成老师设计的各项任务,进而产生语言运用的能力。

简单的说就是“为学而用,在用中学,学了就用”。

二、《英语新课程标准》倡导任务型教学任务型教学活动能使教学过程任务化,确立学生的主体地位,突出以人为本的思想,突出实践性和体验性原则,着眼于学生综合运用语言能力的培养,变知识性的课堂教学为发展性的课堂教学,让学生积极地“动”起来,让英语教学“活”起来,充分体现课程改革的特征。

学生带着真实的目的和任务去学习,日常学习中许多不能独立解决的问题,在集体活动中,通过互动、互助,都能得到很快的解决。

在这样的课堂上,学生不仅主动高效地获取知识,充分感受到成功的乐趣,还能更好地发挥学生的主动性和创造性,最大限度展现学习者的学习潜能。

任务型课堂教学模式也改变了以往教学中的以教学为中心的形式,转而以学生为中心。

教师不再是权威、导师和学者,而是交际中的一方,是课堂中的引导者,是交际活动中的促进者。

在完成老师设计的各种各样的任务的过程中,学生能够发挥较好的主动型和创造型,从而得到交际的机会和动力,有了较大的交际空间,因此学生可以领会、运用语言知识与交际知识,发展听、说、读、写的语言技能以及交流、协调、合作等交际技能。

三、任务型教学是提高学生英语阅读能力的有效方法阅读课是初中英语课本以Reading 形式出现的一种基本的课型。

英语阅读教学的现状往往是老师按照老办法,只是播放课文录音,让学生跟读阅读。

然后就课文中出现的新的语言点和语言知识进行讲解,而忽略与学生之间的交际性参与,师生互动的阅读活动。

久而久之,学生就会失去学习的主动性,失去独立思考问题,主动参与的机会,过分地依赖老师讲解,这样提高学生的阅读能力就变得非常困难。

所以在阅读课的课堂教学中,老师应该积极思考,每一节英语课任务的确定应从学生的学习实际出发,围绕特定的学习目标和语言知识能力的增长点,设计出针对性强,操作性强,任务性强的多种语言活动任务,提供多媒体材料的视听,让学生在限定的时间内阅读,通过自主参与,积极合作,成功体验,来提高其发现问题、解决问题的能力。

这样学生在课堂中不再是被动的接受者,他们在任务的驱动下,有选择的获取信息,他们是交际的主体,在完成任务过程中互相传递和交换信息,充分发挥其语言交际能力。

他们有自由的发挥空间,其不同的语言能力、不同的信息摄取量、不同的知识结构,可以产生不同的任务成果,体现个体差异性,充分发挥任务型教学在阅读课中的主体作用。

四、任务型教学在英语阅读课文中的实例与分析下面以初中英语义务教育课程标准实验教科书《Go for it 八年级下册》Unit 9 Reading: Have you ever been to Singapore? 这一阅读课为例试作说明。

任务一课前预习,要求学生搜集Singapore 的有关信息,学生可以利用互联网、报刊、杂志等查阅资料。
