Unit 11 Cooking with Mocky本课选自北师大版《英语》五年级下册Unit 11 Cooking with Mocky 。
故事讲述的是Ken ,Ann和Mocky 三人合作,根据烹饪书上的指示为爸爸特意制作蛋糕的过程。
故事反映的是西方文化,是学生了解西方饮食习惯和餐饮文化的好机会,但蛋糕的制作过程对学生来说是全新的内容,因为对于大多数学生而言在家里参与制作蛋糕的机会很少,所以让学生能够理解并说明制作蛋糕的步骤,并合理运用put.add.break.mix 等动词,是本课的重点和难点所在。
但故事中Mocky想要一个大蛋糕而有意夸张烹饪书上的指示是本故事的趣味所在。
同时故事中出现大量表示食品材料数量的用法,例如:three kilograms of flour .a liter of milk 等。
虽然在本课时中不作重点学习,但要求学生能够在活动中理解,明白数与量的概念。
