(注:根据全国卷读后续写的特点,删除了原题中的划线词及续写要求)(2023年1月浙江卷)I was invited to a cookout on an old friend's farm in western Washington. I parked my car outside the farm and walked past a milking house which had apparently not been used in many years. A noise at a window caught my attention, so I entered it. It was a hummingbird (蜂鸟), desperately trying to escape. She was covered in spider-webs(蛛网) and was barely able to move her wings. She ceased her struggle the instant I picked her up.With the bird in my cupped hand, I looked around to see how she had gotten in. The broken window glass was the likely answer. I stuffed a piece of cloth into the hole and took her outside, closing the door securely behind me.When I opened my hand, the bird did not fly away; she sat looking at me with her bright eyes. I removed the sticky spider-webs that covered her head and wings. Still, she made no attempt to fly. Perhaps she had been struggling against the window too long and was too tired? Or too thirsty? As I carried her up the blackberry-lined path toward my car where I kept a water bottle, she began to move. I stopped, and she soon took wing but did not immediately fly away.Hovering( 悬停), she approached within six inches of my face. For a very long moment, this tiny creature looked into my eyes, turning her head from side to side. Then she flew quickly out of sight.During the cookout, I told my hosts about the hummingbird incident. They promised to fix the window. As I was departing, my friends walked me to my car. I was standing by the car when a hummingbird flew to thecenter of our group and began hovering. She turned from person to person until she came to me. She again looked directly into my eyes, then let out a squeaking call and was gone. For a moment, all were speechless. Then someone said, “She must have come to say good- bye.” Paragraph 1:A few weeks later, I went to the farm again.__________________________________________________________________________________Paragraph 2:I was just about to leave when the hummingbird appeared.__________________________________________________________________________________范文1A few weeks later, I visited the farm again. The same dilapidated (荒废的) house, the same gigantic (巨大的) spider web, the same green blackberry path.(排比)“Will the hummingbird be the same? 2022届浙江高考英语总复习-读后续写专项训练21.The worst tourist (旅行者) in the world may be Nicholas Scottie of San Francisco. Once he flew from the US to his hometown in Italy. He had some troubles on his journey. The night before, he stayed up late to deal with some emails, so when he boarded on the plane he decided to have a sleep. Hours later, he was woken up by some noise and he found the plane had landed. As he thought he had arrived home, Mr. Scottie got off the plane. He thought he was in Rome. However, the truth was that the plane made a one-hour stop to get oil at Kennedy Airport of New York.Mr. Scottie waited at the airport for some while, but nobody was there to meet him, he thought maybe they were held up by heavy traffic which was very common in Rome. He decided to give his family a phone call. Unfortunately, he found he had left his cellphone at the hotel in San Francisco. Therefore, he decided to go home by himself. While he was walking in the city, Mr. Scottie found that the old “Rome” had changed a lot. Many old buildings were replaced by high modern ones. He also found that many people spoke English instead of Italian and that many street signs were written in English. What made him most surprised was that drivers’ awareness of traffic safety was improved and he hardly found any driver speeding on the road. All cars were driving in line. The condition was widely different from that in the past. He was feeling proud.Mr. Scotti knew very little English, so he asked a policeman (in Italian) the way to the bus station. He happened to meet a policeman who was also born in Italy and answered him in the same language. Mr. Scotti thanked him, left, quickly found the bus station and got on a bus. He looked outside of the bus window.注意:1. 所续写短文的词数应为150左右;2. 应使用5个以上短文中标有下划线的关键词语;3. 续写部分分为两段,每段的开头语已为你写好;4. 续写完成后,请用下划线标出你所使用的关键词语。

Zipping Out Of Fear“Breakfast time!” I quickly put on my clothes and rushed down the stairs.“Come on, we don't want to be late!” My mom said. The aroma of pancakes filled the kitchen, making the room warm. I looked out of the window. The sun was out, making a warm and bright morning.“Today's the day, zip lining” My dad said, sounding very enthusiastic early this morning.Today we would go zip lining. The excitement built up inside of me as breakfast went on. After breakfast, we set out in my dad's car. Half way through the ride, the sun grew hot, and the leather on the seats burned my legs. I thought about the trip, how my parents went but not me. It was my first time experiencing something like this. I also thought about my fear of heights, one thing I tried to get rid of multiple times. It got in the way of so many fun activities, like roller coasters at Kings Island. We were basically there by now, the sun still blazing hot. We pulled up to a big sign where our instructor waited for us.“Hi y'all!” said our instructor cheerfully.“So, have y'all done this before?”My parents nodded but I shook my head. Our instructor went over safety instructions while we each put on a safety harness. I started to get nervous. A never ending roller coaster of excitement and anxiousness built inside of me. I looked down the cliff. My heart skipped a beat when the wind howled, blowing leaves and twigs in the trees. My legs started to shake.

And his dad, Albert, took the money my dad earned and used it to pay family expenses.I didn't really understand his world either: He was a livestock trucker, and I thought that I would surpass (超过) anything he had accomplished by the time I walked across the stage at high school graduation.Summers in the mid-70s were spent at home shooting baskets, hitting a baseball, or throwing a football, preparing for my future as a quarterback on a football team. In poor weather, I read about sports or practiced my trombone (长号).The summer before my eighth grade I was one of a group of boys that a neighboring farmer hired to work in his field. He explained our basic task, the tractor fired up and we were off, riding down the field looking for weeds to spray with chemicals. After a short way, the farmer stopped and pointed at a weed which we missed. Then we began again. This happened over and over, but we soon learned to identify different grasses like cockleburs, lamb's-quarters, foxtails, and the king of weeds, the pretty purple thistle. It was tiring work, but I looked forward to the pay, even though I wasn't sure how much it would amount to.At home, my dad said, "A job's a big step to growing up. I'm glad you will be contributing to the household." My dad's words made me realize that my earnings might not be mine to do with as I wished. My labors lasted about two weeks, and the farmer said there might be more work, but I wasn't interested. I decided it was not fair that I hadto contribute my money. Paragraph 1:The pay arrived at last.__________________________________________________________________________________Paragraph 2:I understood immediately what my parents were worried about.__________________________________________________________________________________范文1The pay arrived at last. I carefully counted the money again and again. It was 80 dollars-exactly a great fortune! My eyes sparkled but soon my heart sank at the thought of handing it over. Suddenly an idea came into my mind. When I got home, I found my parents kept sighing, their forehead deepening. Before figuring out why, I handed them 40 dollars and said it was my two weeks' salary. "Great! Your tuition fee is settled." My dad exclaimed(呼喊、惊叫、大声说).I understood immediately what my parents were worried about. Every year, my school tuition was a big family expense. "Boy, proud of you. You have grown up." my father gave me a big hug. However, so ashamed was I that I could feel the blood rushed to my face. I took out another 40 dollars and murmured out my lie.(倒装句表达羞愧)"Just keep it! You deserve it." My father patted me on the shoulder. At thatmoment, I was sure that we understood each other and I was grown-up enough to shoulder my due responsibility.范文2The pay arrived at last. Tiring as the job was, I was very pleasant in my heart for I got something from my work.(倒装句)The toil of labor was forgotten for the time being. I thought I should have my own money and planned how to spend it. “How much money have you earned?” Dad asked. I was surprised, reluctant to say my income. The next morning, my dad’s livestock truck started running. I saw my father’s hard-working figure and thought of his words “A job’s a big step to growing up”.I understood immediately what my parents were worried about. They were worried that I was too selfish to give. It struck me that I and my whole family had been depending on the hard work of my father!(It strikes sb that...句式)Dad never complained about unfairness! He even seemed to think that was fair. I thought, “I’ve only worked for two weeks, but how many years my father has worked!” In the evening, when Dad came back, I proudly took out my own income and handed it to Dad.。

We visit a local farm every October. In the pumpkin field, I compete with my three brothers and sister to seek out the biggest pumpkin. My dad has a rule that we have to carry our pumpkins back home, and as the eldest child I have an advantage-I carried an 85-pounder back last year. This year, it was hard to tell whether my prize or the one chosen by my 14-year-old brother, Jason, was the winner. Unfortunately we forgot to weigh them before taking out their insides, but I was determined to prove my point. All of us were hard at work at the kitchen table, with my mom filming the annual event. I’m unsure now why I thought forcing my head inside the pumpkin would settle the matter, but it seemed to make perfect sense at the time. With the pumpkin resting on the table, hole uppermost, I bent over and pressed my head against the opening. At first I got jammed just above my eyes and then, as I went on with my task, unwilling to quit, my nose briefly prevented entry. Finally I managed to put my whole head into it, like a cork (软木塞) forced into a bottle. I was able to straighten up with the huge pumpkin resting on my shoulders. My excitement was short-lived. The pumpkin was heavy. “I’m going to set it down, now,” I said, and with Jason helping to support its weight,I bent back over the table to give it somewhere to rest. It was only when I tried to remove my head that I realized getting out was going to be less straightforward than getting in. When I pulled hard, my nose got in the way. I got into a panic as I pressed firmly against the table and moved my head around trying to find the right angle, but it was no use. “I can’t get it out!” I shouted, my voice sounding unnaturally loud in the enclosed space.I was stuck for five or six minutes though it felt much longer. _________________________________ _____________________________________________________________________________________ That video was posted the day before Halloween. __________________________________________ _____________________________________________________________________________________2021.01新高考八省联考During this past year, I’ve had three instances of car trouble. Each time these things happened, I was sick of the way most people hadn’t bothered to help. One of those times, I was on the side of the road for close to three hours with my big Jeep. I put signs in the windows, big signs that said NEED A JACK (千斤顶), and offered money. Nothing. Right as I was about to give up, a Mexican family in a small truck pulled over, and the father bounded out.He sized up the situation and called for his daughter, who spoke English. He conveyed through her that he had a jack but that it was too small for the Jeep, so we would need something to support it. Then he got a saw (锯子) from the truck and cut a section out of a big log on the side of the road. We rolled it over and put his jack on top, and we were in business.I started taking the wheel off, and then, if you can believe it, I broke his tire iron. No worries: He handed it to his wife, and she was gone in a flash down the road to buy a new tire iron. She was back in 15 minutes. We finished the job, and I was a very happy man.The two of us were dirty and sweaty. His wife prepared a pot of water for us to wash our hands. I tried to put a $20 bill in the man’s hand, but he wouldn’t take it, so instead I went up to the truck and gave it to his wife as quietly as I could. I asked the little girl where they lived. Mexico, she said. They were in Oregon so Mommy and Daddy could work on a fruit farm for the next few weeks. Then they would go home. When I was about to say goodbye, the girl asked if I’d had lunch. ____________________________ _____________________________________________________________________________________ _____________________________________________________________________________________ After they left, I got into my Jeep and opened the paper bag. ________________________________ _____________________________________________________________________________________ _____________________________________________________________________________________2020.06全国新高考卷(山东)The Meredith family lived in a small community. As the economy was in decline, some people in the town had lost their jobs. Many of their families were struggling to make ends meet. There was a man sick in bed, his wife, who took care of him and could not go out to work, and their little boy. The little boy - his name was Bernard - had interested her very much.“I wish you could see him,” she said to her own children, John, Harry, and Clara. “He is such a help to his mother. As he had yellow spots on his eyes we called him Spotty. He would have been a stray (流浪) dog, until he came to me.I was seven years old. My dad had just got a new job in Nasik. We had moved into a rented house. It was raining very heavily on the day we moved. It was a cold dark night. We had our meal and went to sleep. Somehow in the midnight I heard some strange sounds outside the main door. I gathered courage and looked out through the window and I was really amused with what I saw outside. There was a small puppy lying on an old doormat which my mother had put outside the door. It was wet and trembling. At first it was difficult to see the lite one. It was the yellow spots on its eyes that made me realize its presence. It was trying to get under the doormat to avoid the cold air outside and it had managed to get in as I could see only its head outside the doormat. Was it sick or injured?I felt pity for the poor soul. 1 went in and came out with an old towel. I went near the innocent one and held it in my hand and wiped the puppy till he had become dry. We were staying at a research camp outside “the polar bear capital of the world”-the town of Churchill in Manitoba,Canada.Taking pictures of polar bears is amazing but also dangerous. Polar bears-like all wild animals-should be photographed from a safe distance. When I'm face to face with a polar bear,I like it to be through a camera with a telephoto lens. But sometimes, that is easier said than done. This was one of those times. As Elli and I cooked dinner,a young male polar bear who was playing in a nearby lake sniffed, and smelled our garlic bread. The hungry bear followed his nose to our camp, which was surrounded by a high wire fence. He pulled and bit the wire. He stood on his back legs and pushed at the wooden fence posts.Terrified,Elli and I tried all the bear defense actions we knew. We yelled at the bear, hit pots hard, and fired blank shotgun shells into the air. Sometimes loud noises like these will scare bears off. Not this polar bear though-he just kept trying to tear down the fence with his massive paws(爪子).1 radioed the camp manager for help. He told me a helicopter was on its way,but it would be 30 minutes before it arrived. Making the best of this close encounter(相遇),I took some pictures of the bear.Elli and I feared the fence wouldn't last through 30 more minutes of the bear's punishment. The camp manager suggested I use pepper spray. The spray burns the bears' eyes, but doesn't hurt them. So I approached our uninvited guest slowly and, through the fence, sprayed him in the face. With an angry roar (吼叫),the bear ran to the lake to wash his eyes.A few minutes later, the bear headed back to our camp. ______________________________________ _____________________________________________________________________________________ _____________________________________________________________________________________ At that very moment, the helicopter arrived. ______________________________________________ _____________________________________________________________________________________ _____________________________________________________________________________________第二节读后续写(满分25分)阅读下面短文,根据所给情节进行续写,使之构成一个完整的故事。

Exercise 39She went, as usual, to farmer Thompson's inn, to receive the price of her mother’ s washing for the boarders, which amounted to five dollars. The farmer was in the stable yard and was apparently in a terrible rage with some horse dealers with whom he had been bargaining. He held in his hand an open pocketbook, full of bills. Swearing at her, as usual, for troubling him when he was busy, he handed her a bank note.Susan hurried out of the gate, and then, she discovered that she was given two bills instead of one. She looked around;nobody was near to share her discovery;and her first impulse was joy at the unexpected prize."It is mine, all mine," she said to herself, “I will buy mother a new cloak with it, and she can give her old one to sister Mary, and then Mary can go to the Sunday school with me next winter. ”At that moment she remembered that he must have given it to her by mistake;and therefore she had not right to it. But again the voice of the temptation whispered, “He gave it, and maybe he intended to make it a present for you? Don't think you are doing right. Keep it, he will never know it, even if it should be a mistake;for he had too many such bills in that great pocketbook to miss one."She had repeatedly balanced the comforts which the money would buy against the sin of wronging her neighbor. Instantly the words of “all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them" sounded in her ears like a trumpet. This was a sentence very often she heard at home from her mother and when they were at church. While this conflict was going on in her mind between good and evil, honest and dishonest, she found herself at farmer Thompson's gate. "What do you want now?" asked the old fellow.“Sir, you paid me two bills, instead of one," said she, trembling in every limb. "Two bills? Did I?... Well..., so I did;but why did you not bring it back sooner?" Susan blushed and hung her head.注意:1. 所续写短文的词数应为150左右;2.应使用5个以上短文标有下划线的关键词语;3.续写部分分为两段,每段的开头语已为你写好;4.续写完成后,请用下划线标出你所使用的关键词。

A funny thing happened to Arthur when he was on the way to work one day. As he walked along Park Avenue near the First National Bank, he heard the sound of someone trying to start a car. He tried again and again but couldn’t get the car moving. Arthur turned and looked inside at the face of a young man who looked worried. Arthur stopped and asked, “It looks like you have got a problem,” Arthur said.
“I am afraid so. I am in a big hurry and I can’t start my car.”
“Is there something I can do to help?”Arthur asked. The young man looked at the two suitcases in the back seat and then said, “Thanks. If you are sure it wouldn’t be too much trouble, you could help me get these two suitcases into a taxi.”
“No trouble at all, I’d be glad to help.”
The young man got out and took one of the suitcases from the back seat. After placing it on the ground, he turned to get the other one. Just as Arthur picked up the first suitcase and started walking he heard the long loud noise of an alarm.
It was from the bank. There had been a robbery.
Park Avenue had been quiet a moment before. Now the air was filled with the sound of the alarm and the shouts of people running from all directions. Cars stopped and the passengers joined the crowd in front of the bank. People asked each other, “What happened?” But everyone had a different answer.
Arthur, still carrying the suitcase, turned to look at the bank and walked right into the young woman in front of him.
She looked at the suitcase and then at him. Arthur was surprised, “Why is she looking at me like that?” He thought. “The suitcase! She thinks I am the bank thief!”
Arthur looked around at the crowd of people. He became frightened, and without another thought, he started to run.

Paragraph 1
As he was running, Arthur heard the young man shouting behind, “Stop, stop!” So frightened was Arthur that he ran faster with that suitcase. When he rushed to the Park Avenue, he stopped a taxi and jumped into it. Nervously, he told the driver to speed up and dropped him off at the police
station. With the driver driving fast, leaving the young man’s shouts and the loud noise of the alarm far behind, Arthur felt a little at ease. (68)
Paragraph 2
The taxi stopped in front of the Police Station and Arthur jumped off with the suitcase, running to the police office. He handed it to a policeman and reported what had happened. Arthur insisted that the suitcase be opened to make sure the money in it was not lost. Much to Arthur’s surprise, there was no money except some clothes and many books. Immediately, Arthur realized that he mistook the young man for the bank thief. As a result, he had to return the suitcase to the young man and apologize to him. What a funny thing it was for Arthur!
