Sports in Ancient Times
• As an important part of popular culture, sports in China began to take real shape during the Qin, Han and Three Kingdoms periods. Sporting images have been recorded over the Dynasties stone paintings (岩画), brick paintings (画像砖), pottery figurines (人物像) and poems.
• The only Chinese participant at those Games was Liu Changchun. He entered the 100m and 200m race but was eliminated in the first round.
