从中得出,我们在教学中很多是无效的或低效的教学行为。
这种状况对小学生学习英语极为不利。
作为一名小学英语老师,我们怎样改变这种沉闷的局面,使英语教学变得更加有效呢?我在课余时间认真学习了《小学英语教学的有效性研究》一书,有很大收获。
首先我知道了有效教学的含义:有效的教学是用最小的人力、物力和时间达到预期的教学目标。
也就是要消耗少,收效高。
所谓的“收效”是指经过教师一段时间的教学后,学生所获得的具体的进步或发展。
其次这本书中讲到的提高有效教学的途径,对我今后的教学有很大帮助。
1、激发学生英语学习兴趣。
鲁迅先生说过:没有兴趣的学习无异于一种苦役。
没有兴趣的地方,就没有智慧和灵感。
兴趣是最好的教师,是最基础的学习动力的源泉。
因此教刚接触英语的儿童时,首先要培养他们的兴趣,以各种游戏和其他生动活泼的方式让他们在兴趣盎然的活动中学习英语。
教学中要把握“玩中有学,学中有玩”的原则,依据不同的教学内容为孩子们设计不同的游戏、活动、任务等,使孩子们在不知不觉的过程中轻轻松松学会了语言。
2、在课堂中采用创设情景的教学方式。
通过创设情景,能使学生仿如身临其境,触景生情,较快进入英语角色,并乐意参与语言的各种实践。
在实践中加深理解,熟悉运用和牢固掌握所学过的知识,达到了缓解知识点掌握的难度,让学生感觉到易学而不怕学、甚至中意学的效果。
实践也证明,“情景教学法”能给教师的“教”与学生的“学”带来良好的效应。
它从根本上提高了英语教学效果。
最大程度地培养了学生的英语学习兴趣,能够让教师教得舒心,学生学得轻松。
3、培养学生的听、说能力。
人们在学习语言时大致上要经过如下几个过程,即听音、辩音、观察、模仿、练习、运用。

在“初案”中,我们应该重点研读教材,明确教学语言与语境语言,把握关键语句与困难语句;在“教案”形成阶段,我们应分析语用因素,结合师情学情,选择设计各环节活动:课后,结合教学实际再回头看自己的教材解读,及时补充“另案”必不可少。
“另案”中,可以反思一节课对教材处理的成功之举、败笔之处、学生感受,当然,对教材的“再教设计”是最终目的。
我们对教材的研读应该追求从“有它无我”到“有它有我”,最后达到“有我无它”的洒脱境界。
二、与学生对话:关注学情,真心真意学生是学习的主人,我们的“教”应该为学生的“学”服务。
在备课时,教师还应该时时在心中与学生对话,在与学生充分对话的基础上进行的备课活动才能真正体现学生的学习主体地位。
“你对这个话题了解了多少?”——牛津小学英语每一个单元都有一个话题。

———暑假读《英语教学活动设计与应用》有感
郝家坪小学李捷暑假假期较长,如果不认真地捧起一两本书来读读着实显得浪费,我也同样利用这个时机来充实和反省自己,书到用时方恨少,直到成为一名老师我才明白自身的不足及责任,因此在假期当中,我有意选择了几本与英语教学相关的书籍以求最大限度的达到完善和提升自己的目的,希望能一定程度上促进将来的教学实践工作。
《英语教学活动设计与应用》由华东师范大学出版社出版,在书的封面上印着这样一句话“用近200个语言实践活动,激活课堂,以及学习的愿望”,这么简简单单的一句话则阐述出了此书的编写内容及意图,而书中目录的清晰铺叙也进一步明确了这样一个基本出发点,整本书分为5大板块,分别是用活动教听说读写、用活动教句型、用活动教语法、用活动组织课文教学和用活动展开不同话题,在详细解说这5大主体之前,还有两个序言,即怎样创建高效的英语课堂和怎样使用这本书,对初读这本书的读者来说无疑是不可或缺的指明灯。
在序言一中,编者及编者团队给出了他们对于理想高效英语课堂创建的一些建议和观点,其中不乏一些具体理论的支撑,如课前组织教学,书本借用Asher的TPR理论,建议
儿歌组织教学,英语口令教学,规则教学等,此外还有关于课堂活动人员分配、课后奖罚制度的一些详细内容,在此序言中让我感触最深的一句话是“slow English is good English”,这一句话对我触动颇为深刻,反省自己,在去年一年的教学中,我却将这句话的宗旨抛掷了九霄云外,现在想来我的学生在课堂上是承受着多大的困难听完一堂课的,而身为英语老师的我,完完全全忽视了孩子们的接受能力,一味的以教学进度及教学目的为出发点和落脚点,残忍地剥夺了孩子们享受一门语言魅力的权利,为此,我感到深深的自责和悔恨,也暗暗叮嘱和鞭策自己,在庆幸和珍惜自己还有机会的同时,一定要时刻以这句话来警醒自己,尽力做得更好。
看完序言,来到书的主体部分,正如前面所说到的那样,每一个不同主题汇集了部分教学实践范例,包括英语儿歌歌曲都附上了连接地址,第一大主体囊括了听说读写四个方面,并通过选取的例子突出了该教学设计的意图及作用,如其中有一例have a role play and describe it, 提倡学生根据情境进行即兴对话和表演,而这个活动安排使得每位学生既能演又能说,让学生在参与的同时也得到充分的锻炼。
第二大板块的着重点是句型,书中以what do you like, how many/ how much, do/don’t, there be等句型为例阐述具体的教法和学法,如此例act and guess, 此活动主要是练习like的一般疑问
句和回答,由两个学生合作,一人表演一人猜,用到句型what does he/she like? 要求学生必须回答完整,这样不仅调动了学生的参与积极性,而且还达到了操练句型的目的。
本书最让我受益匪浅的要属本书中第五大块用活动展开不同的话题,这部分分别从玩具、衣物、形状、动物和颜色等方面一一进行了详细的案例讲解,如衣物中所涉及到的magic mirror, the best partners等无疑让我茅塞顿开,不仅拓宽了我个人狭隘的思维,更为我提供了借鉴及学习的可能,又如身体部位当中的say and do, 通过以竞赛的形式开展活动,达到让学生熟悉身体部位单词的目的,这样寓教于乐,将教学有效地镶嵌在精心设计的课堂活动中无疑能打破传统的读读背背教学模式,对教师乃至学生不失为一种有效教学手段和学习方式。
当然,暑假我虽然将书大致翻阅了一遍,并在亮点及共鸣处作了打记及注解,但是一本好书又岂能是只有通读一遍的价值,熟话说的好,好记性不如烂笔头,看书也是同样的道理,温故而知新,时不时的翻翻并思考,在新旧对比中寻找最高点,才不失为良策。
而对于一位年轻的英语教师,做到这一点更有必要更迫切,在教中学,由学促教,教学相长,才能更好地突破自己,超越自己!。
