T: Can we eat so much sweet food?

I like eating sweet food, so I’m fat. I like travelling,

and I like travelling to many countries. (read: country

& countries)

2.p lay a guessing game

Ss guess the name of the countries according to the

pictures and descriptions.

T show the pictures of kangaroo and koala

Q1: Where are they from?(teach Australia) T introduce kangaroo(mother kangaroo has a pouch for her

baby kangaroo) and koala(it sleeps at least 16 hours a

day),are they interesting?

3.a sk and answer

T: I know something about Australia: it is independent

in 1931,and the British queen is the nominal leader of

Australia.

Q1:What do you know about Australia?

Q2:How do you get the information?( read books & magazines, ask teacher & classmates, search the

Internet.)

4.lead in

T: Today we will learn more about Australia-----An

interesting country(板书课题)

Step3. watch a video

Ss watch a video about Australia

T:According to the video, what do you think of Australia?

Step4. listen and choose

T: what will they do? Listen and choose. (Teach: learn about)

2.read the first part after the tape.(指导朗读第一段)

Ss read the left part after the tape
