A recent survey is conducted on “who will middle school students talk to about their worries”, which shows that nearly 60%.are inclined to remain silent about their problems. One third would choose to talk to their parents but only 9% talk to fellow students.
It is within my expectation that more than half of the students choose to remain silent about their worries; in other words, to deal with the worries on their own. Teenagers are sensitive and shy no matter how trouble-free they look like, so they feel reluctant to rely on other people’s judgment and comments. That is why they tell nobody about their troubles.
On the other hand, it may well be astonishing that parents and teachers are more popular than their fellow students. One reason is probably that adults are more reliable in that they have more life experience while our peer group lack the ability to deal with practical problems. Furthermore, many students tend to treat our classmates as our competitors, especially when we are under huge pressure. In a sense, talking to others about our own trouble is equivalent to exposing our personal weaknesses to others.
The survey also shows teenagers’ helplessness and lack of communication between one another. It is obvious that parents and students should work together to solve these “growing pains” so as to make teenage life more bright and merry.

On the negative side, data reveals the fact that students are having a tense relationship with friend and adults, which implies that society is in danger of lacking communication and cooperation.
There is no doubt that both adults and students should make more efforts to improve relationship between people, thus leading to a harmonious society.

I think it is right to fire her, though she is now good at the job, her fake diploma does help her, but it also does harm to others. It is unfair for others to compete in a job hunting. So I think honesty should come first. Nowadays, more and more students tend to cheat in exams. I think it is a serious problem. Though you can get higher marks and be praised by others, you should clearly realize that it does do harm to others and even yourself. The fame is temporary and you won’t get real knowledge.
In a word, we should be honest and honesty must come first.

Personally, I am in favour of the company’s decision on firing the woman. Abilities are not always the most important, though one’s personality of being honest is what really matters. If the woman was not laid off, no one could guarantee that she wouldn’t go against honesty any more.
Society calls for honesty. When accepting someone as a friend, one will always take his honesty, rather than abilities into account. However, some of our own actions are the same case with that young woman. Take cheating in exams for example. Have you ever cheated in exams? Most of your answers to this question, I think, are “yes”, but are the marks really worth selling your honesty out?
A fake diploma will not always help, but the personality of being honest will go with you forever and make things smooth. Now have you attached importance to honesty? Have you made up your mind to be an honest man?

A young woman who had excellent working performance is said to be laid off by the company, on condition that she was found to fake her diploma. This is an extreme case where dishonesty is mingled with capability on the woman. But I think honesty matters more than capability and agree with the company’s action.
Firstly, a man of dishonesty is not trustworthy, reliable and is sure to fail. As the modern life is founded on network and cooperation, anyone who lies or deceives others will finally lose his ground. In the case, however excellent the woman might be, work performance can not make up for her fatal fault.
Secondly, the action ensures an environment where everyone plays fairly. If the woman succeeded in getting a job by means of dishonesty, other applicants may follow the example and encourage the bad practice. Fortunately, the actual action displayed a sign of warning to all the young people.
To sum up, I support the company’s decision and I believe nothing parallels honesty.
