M5 Unitl It' s big and light.教学设计及反思教学内容:本课时的教学内容是外研社《小学新标准英语》五年级下册Module5Unitl It' s big and light.教材分析:本模块是小学英语第六册的内容,主题为Decisions,主要功能是描述事物的特征。
要求教师能够引导学生学会选择适合自己的物品,并能用英语来说明理由。
Unitl 主要是呈现本模块所要学习的语言内容。
学情分析:本课的教学对象是五年级的学生,经过两年的英语学习,大部分学生有一定的英语基础,形成了一定的语言感受力,模仿力和理解力,并逐渐形成了一定的英语学习方法。
这为进一步的学习奠定了良好的基础,但随着学习任务的加大, 知识难度的增加,不少学生学习英语的兴趣锐减,这又成了英语学习中的不良因素。
因此,如何调动高年级学生的积极性,激发其对英语学习的深层兴趣,在丰富多彩的任务活动中体验英语学习的成功与快乐。
教学理念:小学英语教学的主要目标是培养学生用英语做事情的能力,同时重现学科内容的有效融合。
英语学习是一个在做事情中学习语言,掌握技能的过程。
同时,新课程理念提倡任务型教学方式,让学生在教师的指导下通过感知,体验,实践,参与合作等方式完成教学目标。
本堂课采用了任务型的教学法。
本着这些理念,我将本课重点内容落实在歌谣,游戏,阅读,自由讨论等任务活动中,复习旧知,学习新知。
发展语言综合运用能力,获得成就感,树立自信。

小学英语教学倡导活动式教学,让学生在不同的语言环境中感受、理解并运用所学的语言知识,让学生通过游戏、表演等形式习得语言,培养学生的综合运用语言的能力。
【教材分析】本课是新标准英语三年级起第六册第五模块第一单元的内容。
本单元对话内容很具有故事性,本课围绕去商场买包展开,内容趣味生动,贴近生活,整个知识重点始终围绕谈论物品的特征,表达自己对事物的看法。
该单元的课文情景是Lingling的行李箱坏了,Ms Smart要为她买一个新的,于是两个人一起去了百货商店。
Lingling看到一款黑色的提包,觉得它又大又好看,但Ms Smart 认为这个包对Lingling来说太重了;Ms Smart向Lingling推荐了一款绿色的提包,它不但很轻,而且有两个口袋,可以装雨伞,但Lingling觉得它太小;最后,Ms Smart看到一款蓝色的箱子,它又大又轻,还有四个轮子,用起来很方便。
Ms Smart最终给Lingling 买了这个蓝色的箱子,Lingling向Ms Smart表示感谢。
【学情分析】根据小学高年级阶段学生的特点:好奇、好动、善模仿、好表演,对英语的学习兴趣浓,但不能持久,因此,在任务型教学过程中用具体、形象的教学材料及TPR等灵活多样的教学方法来引导学习。

四、学情分析小学五年级学生已有两年的英语学习基础,已具备用简单的话语描述事物的能力,如“It’s…”。
但在课下缺乏有效的巩固手段,练习机会不足。
针对五年级的学生竞争意识强、模仿能力强的特点,我在课堂上利用大量图片为孩子们提供会话情景,通过TPR活动、猜谜、歌谣等形式,让学生动起来、让课堂活起来,提高孩子们的兴趣,让学生轻松学英语。
五、教学目标(一)知识目标1.学会单词heavy,light,broken,pocket,umbrella等。
2.掌握句子It’s big and light. It’s got two pockets. It’ll beeasy for you to carry.(二)能力目标1.运用英语简单描述事物的特征。
2.通过听读、自读、分角色表演对话等形式,使学生能正确理解课文内容。
(三)情感目标让学生有兴趣用英语表达,能积极参与课堂活动,以及培养学生用英语描述事物特征的基本技能。
六、教学重、难点(一)教学重点以单词为载体进行句型的学习,如It is big and light.(二)教学难点灵活运用句型“It's...”描述各种事物的特征。

教材分析:本模块选自小学新标准三起第六册Module5 Unit1,这一模块语言学习的功能是如何描述事物的特点及初步用句型来表达个人的意见,并会用英语说出理由。
根据教学大纲要求,五年级的英语学习要在低年级的听、说、演、唱,游戏的基础上,开始初步用读和写的方法来学习英语,逐步培养学生读和写英语的习惯和能力。
一、教学目标
1)语言知识目标:学会heavy, light,broken,pocket等单词,并会使用。
学会用英语描述事物的特征。
让学生学会比较事物之间的不同,能够根据描述指出说的是哪一个东西。
2)语言技能目标;
能用It’s got two pockets.It’s big and light. 进行对话交流
3)情感态度目标;
有兴趣听说英语,乐于开口,敢于模仿
4)学习策略目标;
积极与他人合作,共同完成学习任务,积极运用It`s big and light.进行对话交流,能根据录音模仿听说英语。

1)新授单词:light broken heavy pocket
2)新授句型:It`s big and light. It`s got two pockets.
三、教学难点:学会用英语描述事物的特征。

五、教学步骤
Step 1 Warming up
1. Greeting
T: Hello , boys and girls. How are you?
S: I’m fine, thank you. And you?
T: I’m fine too. What day is today?
Ss:
T: Great!
2. Let’s chant《Who is tall?》
T: Well done, class, thank you ! Now let’s play a game.(活动意图:此项活动伴着节拍和动作让学生感觉到教师的亲切,同时培养学生讲文明有礼貌的习惯。
)Step 2 Games
游戏:1. “五彩缤纷”复习颜色词:red , yellow, blue, green, orange, purple, biack.
2. 快速抢答反义词:old—new, big—small, tall—short, fat—thin, clean-dirty, long—short( 图片配单词) .
(活动意图:此项活动是通过PPT运用一些学过的词做游戏,激发学生的学习兴趣,调动他们的学习积极性,把他们带入英语学习的氛围,同时为新的内容作铺垫。

Step 3 P resentation(单词,句子学习)
用实物和课件创设情境学习hard easy broken pocket light heavy T:. Girls and boys. Spring is coming. I will go to have a picnic this weekend. I want to take many things. But my bag is broken . (出示一个书包learn the word “broken”) Have the students read after the teacher. Then read it one by one.
T:I want to buy a new one. Let’s go to the De partment Store.(出示CAI) Oh, so many bags. Guess! Which one does Ms Lin like?
I prefer the red bag. Because it has got 2 wheels. It’s big and light. (出示课题并板书)It’ll be easy for me.I’ll take it.
(此项活动在一定知识铺垫的基础上进行,用前面复习的形容词去联系新单词和新句型任务,达到了认知向能力的有效过渡。
活动内容材料实际是来源于生活,实际用意义很大。

Step 4 Learn the text
1. 导入课文Today ,Lingling wants to come back to China. But her bag is broken, too .So Ms Smart wants to buy a new one for her. Now open your books, listen to the tape and answer.( 根据对话内容设计第一个问题,what’s the color of the th ree bags?带着问题,边听,边看课文边思考,然后回答第一个问题。
)
2. 听读第二遍,根据录音完成表格。
(设计意图:通过带着问题去学习课文,培养和提高学生的阅读能力。
)
3. 质疑:Do you have any questions to ask me or your classmate?并学习巩固本课生词。
4. 学生对对话内容了解后,跟磁带读。
模仿录音。
5. 全班集体读。

Choose something you like and write down 3 sentences describing it.
选2张喜欢的小物品图片,,至少写3句话。
自选2种事物进行观察,用所学的形容词和句型it’s …and …等句型描
述特事物的特点。
