Tsinghua University, one of the top universities in China, has recognized the importance of early childhood English language awareness cultivation and has established a well-designed program to nurture and foster this essential skill in young learners. The Tsinghua University Early Childhood English Language Awareness Program is a comprehensive and innovative initiative that aims to provide a solid foundation for English language proficiency in children. The program is designed to cater to the unique needs and learning styles of young learners, leveraging the latest educational research and best practices to create a dynamic and engaging learning environment. At the heart of the program is a multifaceted approach that encompasses various components to ensure a well-rounded language development experience. The curriculum is carefullystructured to introduce English in a natural and meaningful way, focusing on building a strong foundation in vocabulary, grammar, and communication skills. One of the key aspects of the program is the integration of interactive and immersive learning activities. Children engage in a variety of games, songs, stories, and role-playing exercises that not only capture their attention but also foster a deep understanding and appreciation for the English language. These activities are designed to stimulate the senses, spark their imagination, and create a fun and engaging learning environment.Additionally, the program places a strong emphasis on developing children's listening and speaking skills. Regular exposure to native English speakers, both in the classroom and through field trips and cultural exchanges, allows the children to become comfortable with the language and gain confidence in their ability to communicate effectively. The Tsinghua University Early Childhood English Language Awareness Program also recognizes the importance of parental involvement in the learning process. Parents are encouraged to actively participate in their children's language development, through workshops, home-based activities, and ongoing communication with the program's teaching staff. This collaborativeapproach ensures that the learning experience extends beyond the classroom and becomes a holistic endeavor involving the entire family. One of the program's notable strengths is the highly qualified and dedicated team of educators who lead the learning experience. These professionals are not only fluent in English but also possess a deep understanding of child development and language acquisition. They are trained to create personalized learning plans, adapt teaching methods to individual needs, and foster a nurturing and supportive environment for the children. The impact of the Tsinghua University Early Childhood English Language Awareness Program can be seen in the remarkable progress and achievements of the participating children. Many of them demonstrate a natural ease and confidence in using the English language, exhibiting strong communication skills and a genuine enthusiasm for learning. Moreover, the program's success has extended beyond the confines of the university, with parents and the broader community recognizing the immense value it brings to early childhood education. The program has become a model for other institutions seeking to implement effective English language awareness cultivation initiatives. As Tsinghua University continues to refine and enhance the Early Childhood English Language Awareness Program, it is clear that the university is committed to ensuring that its youngest learners are equipped with the necessary linguistic tools to thrive in an increasingly globalized world. By nurturing this essential skill at an early age, the program is laying the foundation for a generation of multilingual and culturally-aware individuals who will undoubtedly contribute to the advancement of their communities and the world at large.。

Unit 1Time-Conscious AmericansAmericans believe no one stands still. If you are not moving ahead, you are falling behind. This attitude results in a nation of people committed to researching, experimenting and exploring. Time is one of the two elements that Americans save carefully, the other being labor."We are slaves to nothing but the clock," it has been said. Time is treated as if it were something almost real. We budget it, save it, waste it, steal it, kill it, cut it, account for it; we also charge for it. It is a precious resource. Many people have a rather acute sense of the shortness of each lifetime. Once the sands have run out of a person's hourglass, they cannot be replaced. We want every minute to count.A foreigner's first impression of the US is likely to be that everyone is in a rush—often under pressure. City people always appear to be hurrying to get where they are going, restlessly seeking attention in a store, or elbowing others as they try to complete their shopping. Racing through daytime meals is part of the pace of life in this country. Working time is considered precious. Others in public eating-places are waiting for you to finish so they, too, can be served and get back to work within the time allowed. Y ou also find drivers will be abrupt and people will push past you. Y ou will miss smiles, brief conversations, and small exchanges with strangers. Don't take it personally. This is because people value time highly, and they resent someone else "wasting" it beyond a certain appropriate point. Many new arrivals in the States will miss the opening exchanges of a business call, for example. They will miss the ritual interaction that goes with a welcoming cup of tea or coffee that may be a convention in their own country. They may miss leisurely business chats in a restaurant or coffee house. Normally, Americans do not assess their visitors in such relaxed surroundings over extended small talk; much less do they take them out for dinner, or around on the golf course while they develop a sense of trust. Since we generally assess and probe professionally rather than socially, we start talking business very quickly. Time is, therefore, always ticking in our inner ear.Consequently, we work hard at the task of saving time. We produce a steady flow of labor-saving devices; we communicate rapidly through faxes, phone calls or emails rather than through personal contacts, which though pleasant, take longer—especially given our traffic-filled streets. We, therefore, save most personal visiting for after-work hours or for social weekend gatherings. To us the impersonality of electronic communication has little or no relation to the significance of the matter at hand. In some countries no major business is conducted without eye contact, requiring face-to-face conversation. In America, too, a final agreement will normally be signed in person. However, people are meeting increasingly on television screens, conducting "teleconferences" to settle problems not only in this country but also—by satellite—internationally. The US is definitely a telephone country. Almost everyone uses the telephone to conduct business, to chat with friends, to make or break social appointments, to say "Thank you", to shop and to obtain all kinds of information. Telephones save the feet and endless amounts of time. This is due partly to the fact that the telephone service is superb here, whereas the postal service is less efficient. Some new arrivals will come from cultures where it is considered impolite to work too quickly. Unless a certain amount of time is allowed to elapse, it seems in their eyes as if the taskbeing considered were insignificant, not worthy of proper respect. Assignments are, consequently, given added weight by the passage of time. In the US, however, it is taken as a sign of skillfulness or being competent to solve a problem, or fulfill a job successfully, with speed. Usually, the more important a task is, the more capital, energy, and attention will be poured into it in order to "get it moving".

the cooling channels and the processing parameters of cooling systems, and Matsumori et al. [9] developed a technique that takes into account the effect of coolant flow to determine the optimal shape of the cooling channels. In terms of special fabrication methods, conformal cooling techniques [10] have been developed that aim to achieve more uniform cooling by maintaining a constant distance between the cooling channels and the mould surface. Sun et al. [11,12] reported a method for the achievement of better cooling by using CNC milling to produce U-shaped grooves that are used as cooling channels. Au and Yu [13] proposed a scaffolding architecture for a conformal cooling design. Park and Pham [14] developed a method for optimizing conformal cooling systems in which the temperature distribution on the part surface after the filling stage is estimated and then used to split the part into different smaller parts. Each part is assigned a sub-system of conformal cooling channels that is then optimized. In the area of intelligent design tools, Ma and Tong [15] developed an associative design tool for the interactive design of cooling systems. In addition to basic geometric information, this tool captures highlevel knowledge of the detailed component structure of a cooling system. This tool enables the efficient updating of a cooling system when its design or the mould structure is changed. Mok et al. [16] developed an intelligent design support tool. Based on interactive user input, suggestions on various cooling system designs can be retrieved from a knowledge base according to expert rules.

My Ideal Composition: A Funny Version.Oh boy, let me tell you about my ideal composition. It's going to be hilarious, I promise! So, picture this:I'm sitting at my desk, staring at a blank piece of paper, trying to come up with the perfect idea. Suddenly, a light bulb goes off in my head, and I start writing like a maniac. In my ideal composition, I would start with a funny anecdote. Maybe something like this: "Once upon a time, I decided to try my hand at cooking. Let's just say, the fire department had to get involved. It was a disaster!"Then, I would sprinkle in some witty remarks and clever puns. For example, I might say, "I'm not a doctor, but Ican definitely cure your boredom with my hilariouswriting!"Next, I would incorporate some funny dialogue. Maybe a conversation between two characters, like this:Person A: "Why did the scarecrow win an award?"Person B: "I don't know, why?"Person A: "Because he was outstanding in his field!"See what I did there? A classic dad joke to lighten the mood.To make my composition even more entertaining, I would include some funny exaggerations. Like this: "I'm so bad at directions that even my GPS rolls its eyes at me. Once, I got lost in my own neighborhood and had to ask a squirrel for directions. It didn't end well."And of course, I can't forget about incorporating some idioms and expressions. For instance, I might say, "I was as nervous as a cat in a room full of rocking chairs duringmy first stand-up comedy performance. But hey, I survived and even got a few laughs!"
