Unit 6 I'm watching TV Section A（1a－2c）教学设计
教学目标
1.知识目标
1）短语和单词掌握newspaper ,soup, movie, use, wash 等词汇以及短语listen to a CD, use the computer, watch TV, eat dinner, read a newspaper, talk on the phone, make soup 等。

2）句型结构
What are you doing? I'm watching TV. What's he/she doing? He/She's washing the dishes. What are they doing? They're listening to a CD.
3）语法The structure of the Present Progressive Tense.
2.能力目标
1）能根据动词的变化规律写出正确的现在分词形式。

2）能用现在进行时谈论人们正在做的事情。

3、情感目标
通过对本单元的任务性活动，增强学生与学生之间的交流，以及团结合作的精神。

让他们体验在活动中带来的快乐，培养学生学习英语的兴趣。

以及乐于参加活动的积极情感。

教学的重点和难点
教学重点：
1.词汇newspaper, soup, movie, use, wash.短语read a newspaper, talk on the phone, make soup, listen to a CD.等
2.动词现在分词变化规律。

3.句型What are you doing? I am v-ing. What is he doing? He is v-ing.等现在进行时的用法。

教学难点：现在进行时中现在分词的结构及读音，能在交际中准确地运用现在进行时来描述或表达正在进行的动作。

教学方法
创设情境法、口语交际法、Pairwork，Groupwork. 通过创设开放式教学情境，两人或四人一组合作交流，相互探讨、相互合作，从而获得知识、技能和情感体验，发展他们的合作意识及探究能力。

教具器材：信息技术应用：录音、多媒体课件。

教学过程

T: Class, Do you like watching TV?
S: yes.
T: I think so, I like watching TV too. Let’s watch a video and answer what he is doing?
S: He is driving in a car
T: Today we’ll talk about what people are doing.
(通过观看视频，既能激发学生的学习兴趣，又能顺利地过渡到现在进行时的学习。

) Step3 Game：
1.T: I will act some activities, only students D can answer the questions.
Then, the teacher act “swimming, talking on the phones, reading a book”
2.T: One acts, one guesses what he/she is doing. Each group has 1 minute. Ask three groups to do this game.
(通过游戏1，调动学习基础差的学生积极参与课堂，通过游戏2，让学生掌握所学短语，训练学生口语表达能力，同时又增强了课堂的趣味性。

Step4. Presentation
T: What time is it?
Ss: It’s two o’clock.
T: Let’s see, what are people doing?... What’s she doing? ......

2. Lead out the new words and phrases. (向学生展示与新词相关的图片.）
Step5 Practice(1a):
T: I’ll show you some of my neighbors, we live in the same apartment. They do different activities every day. Look at 1a, you can see a picture, please match the activities with the picture. Then check the answers.
(通过谈论图片，留下直观印象，以看图对话形式操练语法。

Step6. Listening (1b):
1.T: Do you know my neighbor’s name? Look at 1b They are Jenny, John, Dave and
Mary. Ask students to listen and write the number from 1a.Then check the answers. 2.T: What’s Jenny/John doing? What’re Dave and Mary doing?
(听后提问让学生进一步掌握听力。

3.Practice the conversation.
Let students role play it. (通过学生间的互读，让学生纠正自己的发音，同时巩固了新句型的使用。

Step7.Pairwork:
T: Let’s see what are the people doing in the picture, please ask and answer in
pairs.(The students ask and answer in pairs according to the picture.)
Ask some pairs to present their conversations to the class .
eg. A: Wha t’s he doing?
B: He’s using the computer.
A: What are they doing?
B: They are listening to a CD.
（该活动为学生提供有指导的口头练习，进一步熟悉句子结构。

Step8.Listening (2a & 2b)
1.Teacher uses the picture and some questions to lead out the listening. Let students get ready for it. Ask the students to listen to the tape and write down the answers.
Check the answers.
(在听前，老师进行有效的指导，让学生通过自己观察的方式，对听力材料有所了解。

在听的过程中，教给学生一定听力技巧。

Step9.Role play
T: Please try to practice the conversation with your partner. Then let some pairs to role play it. After that, divide all students into two groups to role play the conversation.
Step10.Group work
1.T: Here is a photo of Jim’s family, let’s talk about what Jim’s family are doing now.
T: Please make a conversation like this :
A: What is Jim doing?
B:He is…… What is his grandpa doing?
C: He is …… What are Jim’s parents doing?
D:They are ……. What is Jim’s sister doing?
A: She is ……
Give students five minutes to practice, then ask some groups to act.
Step11.Writing
T he teacher show some pictures and write four sentences“what are they doing？”
Ask one students to write her sentences on the black board.
Step12 Summary
Help students sum up the grammar learned in this class.
