关系词有三个作用:A、引导定语从句;B、代替先行词;C、在定语从句中担当一个成分。

一、关系代词与关系副词1、关系代词在定语从句中,能作关系代词的有which、that、who/whom。

(1)which/that指物例:The book which/that you borrowed me yesterday is interesting.(2)who/that指人例:He is the man who/that lives next door.注意:关系代词在从句中作宾语时,which/that保持不变,who变为whom。

Unit3定语从句优质课教案传统的英语语法教学通常是教师在课堂上先讲解相关的语法规则,再配以大量的练习进行操练并对典型的题目进行分析,最终达到教学目的。

可是学生在实际运用中却屡屡出错。

究其原因,不是教师没把语法点讲清楚,也不是学生没有记住语法规则,而是由于学生对相关的语法规则只是停留在浅层面的认识,即背下了语法规则,却远远没有达到灵活运用的程度。

新课标要求:英语教学要注重实际,突出语篇,利用语境使学生更好地开展语言实践活动,培养他们运用英语进行交际的能力。

这就要求教师能把语法教学和语境结合起来,在具体的语境中传授语法知识,让学生活学活用。

不久前,我就以上的语法教学思路进行了一次尝试。

本文将结合本次语法教学课例,阐述如何通过创设真实的语境,让学生在具体的语境中感悟语法知识的意义;如何按照“感知、发现、总结、练习、运用”的语法学习程序,帮助学生在充分理解语言意义的基础上归纳语法项目的使用规则,并通过一定的语言实践活动,使语法规则内化成语言表达的习惯。

一、学习背景分析1教材分析:教材原文是以“描述你所喜爱的音乐及歌手类型”为话题展开语言教学的。

由于上课时间刚好是圣诞节前夕,而本班学生正在准备一个圣诞晚会,于是我就结合学生的生活实际和兴趣点,设计了“准备Christmasasing教师板书:Iwillchooseathemewhichareinterestingandeciting设计意图:学生初步接触先行词为事或物的定语从句,对定语从句有初步的认识;检查学生是否能读懂简单地定语从句。

Finally, the thief handed everything that he had stolen.2. 先行词前有形容词最高级、序数词修饰时,只用that。

This is the best book (that) I’ve ever read.3. 先行词被the only,the very, the last 修饰时,只用that。

He is the only person that I want to see now.4. 先行词同时指人和指物时,只用that。

We talked about the things and persons that we saw then.5.主句已有who或which时,只用that。

Which is the machine that we used last Sunday.Who is the girl that is standing under the tree?6.先行词被every, some, no, all, any, little, much等修饰时。

只用that.I’ve read all the books that you lend me.7.主句是there be 结构,修饰主语的定语从句用that,而不用which.There is a book on the desk that belongs to Tom.(二)用which不用that的情况:1.关系代词前有介词时,一般用which,而不用that.This is the room in which he lives.。

2.引导非限制性定语从句,用which,而不用that.(三)As和which在引导非限定性定语从句时的区别:1、用于非限制性定语从句时,可以指代整个主句的内容,as 和which 可以换用。

He left her, as/ which was strange.2、as 引导非限制性定语从句,指代整个主句的内容,从句可置于句首,句中和句尾。

As everyone knows, Tom is good at English.The earth, as we know, moves round the sun.3、非限制性定语从句中谓语为被动时,常用as 作主语。

as is said/ known/ announced/ reported/ mentioned/ expected/ disused等。

As is known to all, Taiwan is part of China.4、as引导非限制性定语从句,有“正如”的含义,因此,下列句式中多用as:as has been said above as anybody can see as we had expected as (it) appears5、which 引导非限制定语从句,指代整个主句的内容,从句只能置于句尾。
