Step 1: Revision

1.Read the words learnt last period, and then have a dictation.

2.Revise the use of this,that,these,those.

Step2:SectionB 1a

1.Ask the students the following questions:

How many people are there in your family?Who are they?

2.Explain “family tree”.let the students add the words in the box to the family tree and then check the answers.

Step3:1b and 1c listening

1.Play the tape for the students to listen and check the words they hear.

2.Listen again and choose the picture that Jiang Tao and Tom are talking

about.

Step4: 1d Practice

Let the students draw a picture of his/her family/friends, or show some photos, tell their partner about the picture or photos like this:

These are my parents and this is my grandpa.This is my friend,Lin Fang.

Step5:2a

1.Revise the names in this unit(page 88),then write the male and female names

down.

2.Ask some students to give their answers.

Step6: Test
