1. 整体设计思路、指导依据说明这是Unit9的第一课时,俗话说,好的开端是成功的一半,这一课时在整个单元中起到了非常重要的作用。
英语新课程的标准要求教师转变教学方式,在教学上要体现“以学生为中心”,使学生在情境、活动中习得语言。
为充分体现新课标的理念,我对本节课教学活动的整体设计,将注重面向全体学生,创设大量情景,开展多种生动活泼的活动,让学生在活动和情景中学习和掌握英语,优化英语学习方式。
同时,我还采用多种有效的激励和评价措施来引导学生积极参与。
本堂课先由一段大头儿子小头爸爸的视频导入本单元的话题:What does he look like?接着用chant和全身反应法进行身体各部位名称的复习。
然后呈现一些学生熟悉并喜欢的明星图片来操练本课的核心词汇和句型,同时向学生灌输情感教育:“不可以貌取人”。
接下来用课本的听力训练作为语言的输入。
输入之后是一个语言输岀的环节,也就是一个说的环节。
在这个环节里,我将设计几个活动:小组对话、唱歌、读短文拼图等等。
总之,为了使学生语言习得在轻松、自然、愉悦的环境中进行,在教学设计中,活动将贯穿整个课堂。
在每个活动的展示过程中,都运用小组竞赛的方式来调动学生的学习积极性。
2. 教学背景分析教学内容分析:本单元的话题是描述人的外观,话题贴近学生的生活,这个话题应该能够激发学生的表达欲望。
本课时是这个单元的第一课时,在本单元中起到了非常重要的作用。
本单元的核心词汇和核心句型都将在这一课时呈现。
1a是个match,引出了本课的新单词,1b是听力训练,1c是口语训练的一个范例。
这些内容对于大部分学生来说都不会太难,所以非常有必要拓展一些内容。
学生情况分析:在小学阶段,孩子们已经学了人的身体各部位名称,例如:head, face ,eye, ear 等等,但是他们头脑里储存的只是一些孤立的单词,往往不能用完整的句子来描述人的外表特征。
从心理上来看,十三四岁是青少年开始关注自己和他人外形的时期,所以在这个时候,老师要引导学生树立正确的审美观。

目的:引起学生的学习兴趣,了解人物的外貌特征,(即不管外貌如何在不同的游戏中都能获胜)的对比培养学生的情感和态度:不要以貌取人(Don’t judge by appearance)。

使学生的语言技能的训练、情感态度价值观的形成有机的结合起来。
三、说教法英语学习的目的重在更好地运用语言于实际的交流之中,单调地重复课文内容或机械地练习吸引不了我们的学生。
本着启发性,突出学生为主体性的教学原则,我采用情景教学法、直观教学法,在课堂上尽量创设真实或比较真实的语言交流情景,进行师生互动、生生互动,分组合作,倡导学生主动参与、勇于开口、大胆表演,以求更好地突破教学重难点,完成教学目标。
四、说学法我主要采用的学法是合作交流法和归纳总结法。
引导学生通过比较、观察、猜测的方法逐渐感悟新语言项目的功能,让学生在多层次的互动交流中体会到学习英语时“运用”的必要性,鼓励学生积极思维,大胆尝试。
在不断参与团结合作的互动环节中培养学生自主学习的能力和意识,使学生学到的是学习方法,提高的是学习能力。
五、说教学过程课前准备:这节课为了方便、实用起见,课前准备好学生最喜欢的一个明星头像的光头照,以及不同长短形状颜色的头发,和不同的身高体型图片。
1.热身(Warm-up)播放视频音乐《Everyone is special》,这首歌节奏轻快,学生可以小声跟着哼唱。
这样很容易就可以将学生的注意力从课间的嬉闹中拉回课堂之上,很快地进入英语学习的氛围之中。
special.a.b.a.型这三方面来回答。
此时,必然会有部分学生会错误地使用动词be 和have. 接着抛出问题:在描述发型、身高和体型这三方面,哪些方面使用be,哪些方面使用have?让学生以四人一组的形式观察并归纳总结,总结速度最快且完全正确的前四组可分别获得4、3、2、1的平时分。

三、教学过程Ⅰ. Warming-up and revision找出三名外貌差异较大的学生来做比较,一个胖而高大的男生(a fat and tall boy),一个瘦而较矮的男生(a thin and short boy),一个中等身材(of medium height)。
目的:引起学生的学习兴趣,了解人物的外貌特征,(即不管外貌如何在不同的游戏中都能获胜)的对比培养学生的情感和态度:不要以貌取人(Don’t judge by appearance)。
然后用这两名学生为例教heavy, tall, thin, short引出句型:1. What do you look like? He’s really tall. He has long straighthair.2. What does s he look like? She’s of medium/build.…Ⅱ. Presentation (Section A 1a)1. Match the words with the people in the picture. (1a)学习课本的第一部分P49,1a先看图片,然后搭配图片和相关的外貌特征的词。
Now please look at P49, Use the letters to match the people in the picture with one of the numbered words. Write each letter next to a numbered word. You can use some letters more than once. Point out the sample answer. (Keys: c, f, a, a, d, h, e, b, g, e)留2-3分钟读写1a中的单词、短语。
2. 引导学生熟悉有关描述人的外貌特征的词(1). 用漫画画人物教有关height,curly等单词。
然后操练“What does he look like? He is really tall.”注意be 动词的用法。
(2). 一个cartoon girl 教身体的各部位(ear, face, hair, eye, nose, mouth)。
然后操练“What does he look like? He has long straight hair.” 注意has的用法。
(3). pictures 来教有关头发的词汇, 注意has的用法。
接着教a beard, a moustache, glasses。

老师将两幅名人图片粘到黑板上或打在屏幕上等,然后分别请这两组同学向本组的组代表描述本组图片上人的外貌、工作(第四单元知识点)或其他相关情况,让本组的组代表最快猜到本组图片上名人是谁的小组获得胜利。
在游戏过程中注意:描述的同学每人只能描述一次,并且只能描述一句,并尽可能多的描述人物外貌,在很难猜出时,可以描述工作或其他相关情况。
