1.让学生仔细观察1a上方的四幅图片,通过查字典和讨论的方式,分别说出这四幅图片所代表的地名。
2.让学生先浏览1a方框中的信息,并把地名和相关信息匹配起来。
教师核对答案。
3.让学生快速浏览1b的题干,预测听力内容,然后听录音,完成1b的听力任务。
4.让学生再听一遍录音,跟读录音并整体感知录音内容。

5.邀请一名学生朗读1c方框中的对话,并说明其意思。

“比较级+than any other+单数名词+比较范围”意为“比其他(任何一个)都……”,
相当于“比较级+than the other+复数名词+比较范围”。
这两种结构均是用比较级形式表最高级含义。
例:Tom is taller than any other student in his class.汤姆比他班上的其他学生都要高。

3.让学生听最后一遍录音,整体感知听力内容,模仿其语音语调。

4.邀请两名学生朗读2c中的对话,并理解其意思。
5.让学生两人一组,以2c中的对话为例,用2a和2b中的信息来编写新的对话,然后邀请两三组学生当堂表演对话,教师予以点评。

7.教师讲解2d对话中的重难点和学生不明白的地方。

free在此意为“自由的,不受拘束的”。
常用短语:feel free to do sth.随意做某事,做某事不要拘束。
(2)As far as I know,there are no other man-made objects as big as this.
as far as I know意为“就我所知”,用来陈述事实或引出自己的观点,在句中作状语。
与此用法类似的还有as far as I can see(依我看)、as far as I can remember(据我所记得的)等。
