Chris: Then first you need to plan your installation. Have you checked system requirements, hardware and software compatibility, and determined disk partitioning options?

Jane: Yes. They shouldn’t be problem.

Chris: So, insert your Windows Vista installation disk into the drive and reboot your computer. It’ll boot directly into Graphical User Interface mode.

Jane: OK. It’s done.

Chris: Press the Install Now button, accept the license terms and then press the Custom Installation button.

Jane: That sounds easy.

Chris: Then you just need press on the Next button. This will take some time.

Mike: Hi, Jane. How’s your computer doing?

Jane: So far so good. But it runs a little bit slowly.

Mike: Then you can optimize your system, like file system, desktop, the network, disk cache, etc.

But you need to purchase certain software to perform this function. Let me show you how my software works.

Jane: This is really helpful. Could you show me how to optimize – like the file system, so I can purchase the software and do it myself?

Mike: No problem. Please watch carefully. You need to click the Optimize PC button first. Then click the System Optimizer button and the File System button.

Jane: OK. Hope I can remember this.

Mike: Now you choose one of these two kinds of optimization settings and then click Step 1. Here you should choose some of the items as you need.

Jane: But I know little about this.

Mike: Then you simply select All. This is defaulted. Now Click Step 2.

Jane: Now it’s time to click Optimize?

Mike: Yes. The system will make settings automatically.

Jane: Thanks a lot.

Mike: Sure.
