（二）it 用于强调句

1.什么时候用强调句

在说话或写文章时，我们有时候要突出或强调某个词、短语或句子，这时就要用到强调句:It is/was+被强调部分+that/who+其他成分.在本结构中，it无意义。

所强调的部分可以是主语、宾语和状语等，但不能是定语。强调的部分可以是单词、短语或从句，但结果须完整。

2.强调句的句型

A.陈述句

1. It is/was +被强调部分+that/who+其他部分.（强调人的时候用that/who; 强调物的时候用that）

It is him that we met at the school gate.

2.It might/could be+被强调部分+that...... 或It must have been+强调部分+that+其他部分.

It could be your mother that you are thinking of.

3.It is/was not unitl+被强调部分+that+其他部分.

It was not until he took off his sunglasses that I realized he was a famous film star.

He didn’t realize he was a famous film star until he took off his sunglasses.

B.否定句：It is /was not………..

It is not him that we met at the school gate.

C.一般疑问句：只需要把is (was) 提前

Is it him that we met at the school gate?

D.特殊疑问句：在一般疑问句前加上特殊疑问词即可

Who is it that we met at school gate?

（三）被强调的句子成分

注意：It is ......that/who........结构不能强调谓语动词，而只能用do,does,did（意思是“的确，确实”）.

Tom does study English hard now.

He did write to you last week.

（四）区别

强调句型与带it的复合句的区别（“还原法”）

把It is .........that....... 去掉后，如果剩下的部分仍然能构成一个完整的句子，则是强调句，否则就不是。

1.与主语从句的区别

It is there that accidents often happen.（强调句：抽掉It is…. that之后，句子仍然完整。）

It is a pity that he didn't catch the first bus.（主语从句：抽掉It is…that之后，句子不完整。）2.与定语从句的区别

It is novels that I enjoy reading.（强调句：that 不作任何成分）

It is a question that needs careful consideration.（定语从句：that在从句中作主语）

3.与状语从句的区别

（1）It is........that..... 与It is +时间+when/before.（思考：下面两个句子有何不同？）

It was at midnight that I got back home yesterday. 当我昨天回到家里时，已经是午夜了。It was midnight when/before I got back home yesterday. 昨天我还没到家就到了午夜了。

第一个句子中的at midnight作________语，第二个句子中的midnight作_____语。

（2）It is......that.........与It is +时间+since+从句.

It was two years ago that I began to learn English.

It is two years since I began to learn English.

（3）It is.......that.......与It is not long before......

It is two years before he came back from England.

It is two years later that he came back from abroad.
