Test Method I. Wrap the mandrel with a single layer of TFE tape.
II. Apply an upward force to the test sample so that the white line stays in between the two red lines of the force indication window. III. Maintain the force constant (1.35 ± 0.11 pounds) so that the white line still stays in between the red lines and press the red button on the handle of the sharp edge tester. The mandrel will begin to rotate 360 degrees.
Test Method I. After calibrate the sharp point tester, insert the test point into the gaging slot.
II. Place the sharp point tester under its body weight of 1 pound at a vertical position. III. If the red indicator lights up, the point tested is a sharp point. Requirement: No sharp point.
