Lesson 13 Be Careful, Danny!

The students of Grade 9 have mastered certain vocabularies,expressions and structures. They also hav e the abilities of self-teaching and working in groups. Most of them are willing to express their opinions in English.

Lesson 13 is the first lesson in Unit 3, Book 5.This unit focus on the subjectsafety.Students cares about the subject because it is close to everyone. Lesson 13 mainly talks about be careful by accident.

Show some pictures about some serious accident in recent years.
Step 2. Presentation
1. Lead in: Have you ever climb onto a chair to reach something? Was it safe? In our textbook, Danny fell down, let's look at what happened on him.
2. Explain the new words.
3. Listen and answer

4.Choose two students to check the answers.
5.Read the lesson and answer the questions.

“No, I’m not injured.”Danny says. “不,我没有受伤。”丹尼说。
injured adj. 受伤的,受损害的,受委屈的

The injured were taken to h ospital by ambulance. 受伤者被救护车送进了医院。
injure vt. 伤害
She was injured badly in an accident during the work. 他在一次工伤事故中受了重伤。
lie, lay, lain与lying
lie vi. 躺,平放过去式lay,过去分词lain,现在分词lying
He was lying in the shade of the tree. 他正躺在树荫下。
He lay down on her bad. 他躺在床上。
lie vi. 说谎过去式lied过去分词lied,现在分词lying
I’m sorry I lied to you. 我很抱歉想你撒了谎。
He is always telling a lie. 他总是说谎。
lay vt, vi 放,置过去式laid,过去分词laid,现在分词laying
Lay it on the table. 把它放在桌上。
