萧鼓追随春社近



萧鼓：the xiao (pipes) and the gu (drums), names of Chinese musical instruments. The pipes and the drums were being played continuously. 春社： According to ancient Lunar Chinese calendar, Chunshe is the fifth day after spring when people make sacrifices and worship the God of the Land wishing for a good harvest 近：come near, draw near, approach
柳暗花明又一村
Past dark willows and flowers in bloom lies another village

拄杖无时夜叩门
I shall stroll over with my stick and knock at their gate

In a good year they’ve chicken and pork to offer guests
山重水复疑无路


三重水复：a chain of mountains appeared and one river after another greeted the eye 疑无路：I wondered if there were no path for me to get out.
从今若许闲乘月
Some evening when I’m free and there is moonlight
拄杖无时夜叩门



拄杖：lean on a stick; walk with the help of a stick 无时：at any time 夜：at night, in the evening 叩门：knock on the door; pay a visit
山重水复疑无路
Where hills bend, streams wind and pathway seems to end
柳暗花明又一村



柳：willow 暗：这里指深绿色的柳树 dark green 明：指的是花光红艳 very bright flowers Then I saw green willows and bright flowers before me and I knew I was passing another village.
