果真如此吗?笔者认为,未必,或者恰恰相反,难度降低了,考试也更人性化了。

但文章的长度减少了三分之一,即从原来的150词左右(注:2005年听写文章The Wrist Watch 共计158词,2009年听写文章New Year's Eve 共计147词)减为90词左右。

这其实就是降低了难度,减轻了学生的心里压力。

因为很多同学害怕听写,历年来该题型的得分率也往往最低。

得分低的题型减少题量和分值比重,的确是个好消息!另外一个小细节,以往听写最后磁带上留出2分钟的时间让学生检查,现在减为1分钟了。

所以,建议大家在英语专八复习的时候每天最少30分钟时间练习听力,多听VOA和BBC新闻材料中的一些新闻报道、短评或讲话等。

其次,练习记笔记,锻炼自己的速记能力。

第二部分,英语专八阅读。

阅读这个东西也不是那么让人轻松的,所以平时也要练习。

30分钟做四篇将近3000字的阅读,的确让人头痛。

所以首先,要调整好阅读的心态,保持心里平静。

其次一定要分配好时间,阅读题每篇的速度可以在7分钟左右,时间的长短可以视文章的难度而适当调整。

刚开始练习的时候最多不超过10分钟一篇,尽量一次做俩篇,这样的话,强度不算太大,也容易接受,20分钟内搞定,按照这种强度进行训练俩周后,大概也就找到了英语专八的感觉了。

阅读时的方法就是:首先拿到阅读题先看文章的每段的首句和末句,而且只看首句和末句,对于首句和末句的阅读一定要切记,只有这样才能把握住文章的中心思想和每段大意,只有这样才能在规定的时间里做完4篇阅读。

其次,选项可以先读,也可以后读,再有就是题干一定要读。

还要注意题干中的特殊标志词。

第三部分,英语专八语言知识即改错,这个题也不太好做,主要是一些语法错误,语篇错误,以及词汇的错误。

与大学英语四、六级、考研以及专业四级考试不同,专八写作要求的字数更多,更体现思维的深度和广度,因此必须通过练习来促使自己提高逻辑思维的速度和质量。

我固然会在课堂上教给大家一些常见的思维方法,如分类法、反证法、举例法、因果法等等,但更具体的素材需要大家平时去积累。

America’s president, Barack Obama, said in a White House press release earlier this year that cyber-threats “pose one of the gravest national-security dangers” the country is facing. (5)Securing cyberspace is hard because the architecture of the internet was designed to promote connectivity, not security. Its founders focused on getting it to work and did not worry much about threats because the network was affiliated with America’s military. As hackers turned up, layers of security, from antivirus programs to firewalls, were added to try to keep them at bay. Gartner, a research firm, reckons that last year organizations around the globe spent $67 billion on information security.(6)On the whole, these defenses have worked reasonably well. For all the talk about the risk of a “cyber 9/11”, the internet has proved remarkably resilient. Hundreds of millions of people turn on their computers every day and bank online, shop at virtual stores, swap gossip and photos with their friends on social networks and send all kinds of sensitive data over the web without ill effect. Companies and governments are shifting ever more services online.(7)But the task is becoming harder. Cyber-security, which involves protecting both data and people, is facing multiple threats, notably cybercrime and online industrial espionage, both of which are growing rapidly. A recent estimate by the Centre for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), puts the annual global cost of digital crime and intellectual-property theft at $445 billion –a sum roughly equivalent to the GDP of a smallish rich European country such as Austria.(8)To add to the worries, there is also the risk of cyber-sabotage. Terrorists or agents of hostile powers could mount attacks on companies and systems that control vital parts of an economy, including power stations, electrical grids and communications networks. Such attacks are hard to pull off, but not impossible. 我觉得,英语专⼋最让⼈没有底的是听⼒,也是很多考⽣的弱项。

听⼒分为两部分:第⼀部分mini lecture要求你对听⼒有⾜够的敏感度,仔细听关键词捕获有效信息。

conversation对考⽣来说不是难点,只要看清题⽬听懂内容,很容易做对。

所以,建议⼤家在英语专⼋复习的时候每天最少30分钟时间练习听⼒,多听VOA和BBC新闻材料中的⼀些新闻报道、短评或讲话等。

其次,练习记笔记,锻炼⾃⼰的速记能⼒。

第⼆部分,英语专⼋阅读。

阅读这个东西也不是那么让⼈轻松的,所以平时也要练习。

30分钟做四篇将近3000字的阅读,的确让⼈头痛。

所以⾸先,要调整好阅读的⼼态,保持⼼⾥平静。

其次⼀定要分配好时间,阅读题每篇的速度可以在7分钟左右,时间的长短可以视⽂章的难度⽽适当调整。

刚开始练习的时候最多不超过10分钟⼀篇,尽量⼀次做俩篇,这样的话,强度不算太⼤,也容易接受,20分钟内搞定,按照这种强度进⾏训练俩周后,⼤概也就找到了英语专⼋的感觉了。

阅读时的⽅法就是:⾸先拿到阅读题先看⽂章的每段的⾸句和末句,⽽且只看⾸句和末句,对于⾸句和末句的阅读⼀定要切记,只有这样才能把握住⽂章的中⼼思想和每段⼤意,只有这样才能在规定的时间⾥做完4篇阅读。

因此,翻译课堂的教学也随之面临新的问题,也应当做出相应的调整,适应社会发展的需要。

本文探讨了专八改革后翻译教学面临的问题,并提出相应的对策。

关键词:专八改革翻译教学中国文化走出去战略中图分类号:H315.9 文献标识码:A 文章编号:1672-1578(2019)01-0007-021 引言2015年8月,高校外语专业教学测试办公室发布了《关于英语专业八级考试(TEM 8)题型调整方案》,并宣布从2016年起对英语专业八级考试的试卷结构和测试题型以及分值做局部调整。

改革后的专八在听力、翻译及写作上都做了局部调整,更注重英语语言的灵活运用,侧重考查学生运用英语进行交际的综合能力。

在翻译这一考察项上取消了原有的英译汉,只保留了汉译英,测试形式为将一段150个汉字组成的段落译成英语,要求学生能运用汉译英的理论和技巧翻译我国报刊杂志上的文章和一般文学作品,速度为每小时250至300个汉字,译文要求忠实于原文意思,语言通顺、流畅,考试时间为5分钟,由原来的英译汉和汉译两部分60分钟缩短至25分钟,难度有所下降,但又重点突出,紧跟我国翻译事业发展的步伐和趋势。

2 翻译之于中国文化走出去的战略意义专八考试在翻译项上所做的调整正是顺应了中国文化“走出去”战略的发展趋势,汉语外译已变得不可或缺。

在以往的中外典籍和专业领域文献资料翻译中,很长一段时间都是英译汉占据了主导地位。

近年来,随着中国国力的提升以及国家的战略调整,中国在国际社会的影响力逐渐扩大,汉语影响力也随之越来越大,译出的比例逐年提升,汉译英的数量和规模在近年来首次超过了英译汉。

根据中国译协的数据,在2014年,译出的比例已经超过60%。

II.阅读理解(Part II: Reading Comprehension)
1.测试要求:
(a)能读懂一般英美报刊杂志上的社论和书评。
(b)能读懂有一定难度的历史传记和文学作品。
(c)能理解所读材料的主旨大意,分辨出其中的事实和细节;能理解字面意义和隐含意义;能根据所读材料进行判断和推理;能分析所读材料的思想观点、语篇结构、语言特点和修辞手法。‘
1)听力默写部分(min-lecture)长度变长,由原来的10处增加为15处;
2)写作不再是考查话题作文,而是要求考生先阅读1000词左右的文章,然后再做摘要型议论文写作,要求300词左右。
相应备考策略变化:
1)专八的听力默写提高最有效的方式是每天坚持1小时左右的听写训练。在听写训练时,每一句话暂停1次,尽可能多地靠回忆去记录刚才听到的信息,同一篇材料,每1遍都用这种一句一停顿的方式去听写,直到全部听写完整为止。
(e)考试时间约25分钟。
2.测试形式:
本部分采用填空题和多项选择题形式,分两节:Section A和Section B,共20题。
Section A: Mini-lecture
本部分由一个约900个单词的讲座和一项填空任务组成。要求学生边听边做笔记,然后
完成填空任务。本部分共15道填空题。
Section B: Conversation or Interview
二、解题方法:Βιβλιοθήκη 积极运用“抓题干关键词回原文定位”的解题方法,在获取原文相应信息后,找出关键信息进行整合,并用简洁的语言进行回答。在语言表达上,除了可以用个别词语回答的题,整合句子时需注意句式结构完整,注意不要遗漏谓语动词、形容词、名词等传达实意的词汇。如果整合的内容超过10个单词,则尝试对小部分词或短语进行同义替换,尽量避免使用从句而造成超过字数的情况。
【专八改革后变化】
阅读理解仍为四篇文章,总阅读时间相应增加15分钟,总计45分钟。阅读文章的选材同样也发生了变化,英语专业的学生要注意啦——剔除了原有的日常知识类文章,新增了文学和语言学文章的选材(和英语专业知识贴合更紧密哦~)。阅读理解另一较大变化是体裁的调整。专八阅读理解以后将不再考广告、说明书、图表,而重点考查社科、文化经济、文学、语言学以及人物传记等这些题材的记叙文、描写文、说明文、议论文等文体。这也提醒各位考生要熟悉这4种文体的行文方式,面对改革后的考试才能心中有数。选择题由原来的20道减至14道,并增加了8道分别基于4篇文章的简答题。新增简答题题干与选择题提问方式和角度基本一致,但要求用不超过10个单词的句子进行回答。在分值计算方面,预计选择题计1分一题,简答题计2分一题。
3.测试目的:
阅读理解部分测试学生通过阅读获取和理解有关信息的能力,既栗求准确性,也要一定的速度,阅读速度为每分钟1 5 0个单词。
4.选材原则:
(a)题材广泛,包括社会、科技、文化、经济、文学、语言学、人物传记等。
(b)体裁多样,包括记叙文、描写文、说明文、议论文等。
(c)阅读材料的语言难度中等偏上。
考试时不得使用任何通讯工具、词典及其他工具书。
试卷各部分采用记权方式,折算成百分制。以60分为及格标准。
试卷的题型、题数、计分、比重和时间列表如下:
这一消息对各位考生非常有利。因为之前不少考生因准备”二战“专四而分散了准备专八的精力。
其次,输入部分的难度降低,不再考查“死记硬背”。
一提到”死记硬背“,大家想到的题型一定是专八中的人文知识。从100多道的题海中应战仅有10分的人文知识,很多考生叫苦不迭。这次改革以后取消这一题型,既是顺应了民心,又符合大纲考查要求:考查听、说、读、写、译的运用能力。
本部分为作答题,共10题。考试时间15分钟。

测试学生运用语言知识的能力。
IV.翻译(Part V: Translation)
1.测试要求
能运用汉译英的理论和技巧,翻译我国报刊杂志上的文章和一般文学作品。速度为每小时250至300个汉字。译文要求忠实原意,语言通顺、流畅。
2.测试形式:
本部分为作答题,将一段150个汉字组成的段落译成英语,考试时间25分钟。
(d)能在阅读中根据需要自觉调整阅读速度和阅读技巧。
(e)考试时间45分钟。

测试学生的书面表达能力。

听力填空题、阅读简答题、语言知识、翻译和作文做在规定的作答题答题卡上。多项选择题的答案写在选择题答题卡上。凡是写在试题册上的答案一律无效,予以作废。

难度降低具体表现在:
1)新闻听力取消;
新闻听力以前一直是难点, 考生心中之痛。因为新闻的语速非常快,但每段材料包含的信息量却非常大,往往考生还没反应出刚刚听到的是什么内容,该段新闻就结束了。
2)翻译的英译中取消,只保留中译英,且篇幅和选材变短、变得更贴近学生日常能接触到的材料(以前中译英多为较”文艺范儿“的散文翻译)。
3.测试目的:
测试学生的汉译英翻译能力。
V.写作(Part V: Writing)
1.测试要求
能根据所给阅读材料和要求撰写各类体裁的文章,文章长度约300个单词;能做到内容切题、充实,条理清楚,结构严谨,语法正确,语言通顺,表达得体。考试时间45分钟。
2.测试形式:
本部分为作答题,采用材料作文形式。考试时间45分钟。
本部分由一个约1000个单词的会话或两个约500个单词的会话组成。会话后有10道多项选择题。
本部分每道题后有10秒的间隙,要求学生听到问题后从所给的四个选项中选出一个最佳答案。
听力理解部分的录音语速为每分钟约150个单词,念一遍。

4.选材原则:
(a)讲座部分的内容与本专业方向课程相关。
【备考建议】
针对简答题这一新题型的备考,教研君建议同学们可以从以下两方面入手:
一、素材选择:
在练习的素材选择方面,有多种选择,一是以历年的阅读理解选择题练手,做题时先只看题目不看选项,在原文中定位到相关信息后,尝试用自己的语言进行表达,然后再从四个选项中做出选择,同时与正确选项进行对比,看看与自己的表述有何差异。一般来说,真题试题的选项比较精炼概括,符合简答题的答题要求,是考生可以参考模仿的样例。二是利用四、六级改革前快速阅读的题目。此类题目有3道主观简答题,要求考生用自己的语言表述,但给出了大量的题干信息,难度相对更低。考生可以以此作为基础练习。
III.语言知识(Part III. Language Usage)
1.测试要求:
能运用语法、词汇、修辞等语言知识识别所给短文内的语病并提出改正方法。
2.测试形式:
本部分由一篇约250个单词的短文组成,短文中有10行标有题号。该10行内均含有一个语误。要求学生根据“增添”、“删除”、或“改变其中的某一单词或短语”三种方法中的一种改正语误。
【点评】
阅读题材剔除了日常知识,新增文学和语言学类,这意味着阅读文章的难度提高了。文学和语言学是英语专业高年级学生学习的内容,也是英语专业研究生重点涉足的领域。此类文章的文学词汇、语言学术语对于广大考生来说是一大考验,扎实的专业知识积累和储备有助于同学们从容应对此类文章。新增的8道简答题题型仍和选择题的题型一样,样题涉及细节题、主旨题、词义题、态度题、推理题,但因要求考生准确理解原文、提炼信息,自己组织语言(有字数限制),故总体而言,阅读部分的难度提高了,同学们应给予足够的重视。
