In this materialistic society, we couldn’t help asking how many people had not been abducted final human conscience for money temptation. For young generations in modern-day China, true love is all about the numbers. For girls, a potential suitor may have a good sense of humor and reasonable good looks, but what really matters is if he owns an apartment. A sizable bank account is also a must, and a luxury car. These opinions are so contrary to traditional values, like loving one's country and respecting one's elders. It really epitomized the materialism to define the nouveau riche of the post-1980s generation. It also caused some youngsters to eat their own flesh, rely on their parents to support their lives. This is why the “bite the old” come from. Money is not everything; the young must keep it in the heart. Money can buy your lots of materials, but not the happiness and joy. Only by being diligent and intelligent in the work, lives and study can bring you the final success and pleasure.

在今天这样的一个物欲世界里，我们不禁的慨叹：还有多少人能紧得住物欲的诱惑而不丧失自己的良知呢？对于当代的中国年轻人，真爱只是一串数字。对于女孩来讲，她的追求者不光要要幽默，外表俊朗；最重要的是要有房子，大额存款及好车。这样的价值观与传统的爱国尊老等价值观完全的背道而驰，充分的反映了80后一代对金钱物欲的执迷。这也导致了很多年轻人好吃懒惰的习惯，靠父母来养活自己，“啃老族”于是应运而生。金钱不是万能的，年轻人一定要铭记这个道理，它可以给你买来很多的东西，但买不来的是你的快乐和幸福。只有踏踏实实的工作，生活和学习才能给你带来你生活和事业的成功喜悦。
