英国女王2017圣诞致辞全文the queen’s christmas speech XXin this past year my family and i have been inspired by the courage and hope we have seen in so many ways in britain, in the commonwealth and around the world. we‟ve seen that it‟s in hardship that we often find strength from our families; it‟s in adversity that new friendships are sometimes formed; and it‟s in a crisis that communities break down barriers and bind together to help one another.families, friends and communities often find a source of courage rising up from within. indeed, sadly, it seems that it is tragedy that often draws out the most and the best from the human spirit.when prince philip and i visited australia this year we saw for ourselves the effects of natural disaster in some of the areas devastated by floods, where in january so many people lost their lives and their livelihoods. we were moved by the way families and local communities held together to support each other.prince william travelled to new zealand and australia in the aftermath of earthquakes, cyclones and floods and saw how communities rose up to rescue the injured, comfort the bereaved and rebuild the cities and towns devastated by nature.the prince of wales also saw first hand the remarkable resilience of the human spirit after tragedy struck in a welsh mining community, and how communities can work together to support their neighbors.this past year has also seen some memorable and historic visits – to ireland and from america.the spirit of friendship so evident in both these nations canfill us all with hope. relationships that years ago were once so strained have through sorrow and forgiveness blossomed into long term friendship. it is through this lens of history that we should view the conflicts of today, and so give us hope for tomorrow.of course, family does not necessarily mean blood relatives but often a description of a community, organization or nation. the commonwealth is a family of 53 nations, all with a common bond, shared beliefs, mutual values and goals.it is this which makes the commonwealth a family of people in the truest sense, at ease with each other, enjoying its shared history and ready and willing to support its members in the direst of circumstances. they have always looked to the future, with a sense of camaraderie, warmth and mutual respect while still maintaining their individualism.the importance of family has, of course, come home to prince philip and me personally this year with the marriages of two of our grandchildren, each in their own way a celebration of the god-given love that binds a family together.for many this christmas will not be easy. with our armed forces deployed around the world, thousands of service families face christmas without their loved ones at home. the bereaved and the lonely will find it especially hard. and, as we all know, the world is going through difficult times. all this will affect our celebration of this great christian festival.finding hope in adversity is one of the themes of christmas. jesus was born into a world full of fear. the angels came to frightened shepherds with hope in their voices: …fear not‟, they urged, …we bring you tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. for unto you is born this day in the city of david a saviourwho is christ the lord.‟although we are capable of great acts of kindness, history teaches us that we sometimes need saving from ourselves – from our recklessness or our greed. god sent into the world a unique person – neither a philosopher nor a general (important though they are) – but a saviour, with the power to forgive.forgiveness lies at the heart of the christian faith. it can heal broken families, it can restore friendships and it can reconcile divided communities. it is in forgiveness that we feel the power of god‟s love.in the last verse of this beautiful carol, o little town of bethlehem, there‟s a prayer:o holy child of bethlehemdescend to us we praycast out our sinand enter inbe born in us todayit is my prayer that on this christmas day we might all find room in our lives for the message of the angels and for the love of god through christ our lord.i wish you all a very happy christmas.
Dear citizens of the United Kingdom,As we gather together to celebrate the joyous occasion of Christmas, I am filled with a sense of gratitude and hope for our nation. This year has been challenging for all of us, but as we look towards the future, let us take comfort in the spirit of Christmas and the strength of our communities.Christmas is a time for reflection and renewal, a time to come together in love and compassion. It is a time to reflect on the blessings we have received and to extend a helping hand to those in need. This year, my thoughts are with all those who have been affected by the global pandemic. I want to express my deepest sympathy to those who have lost loved ones and my gratitude to the frontline workers who have selflessly dedicated themselves to the care of others. In the face of adversity, the spirit of Christmas serves as a reminder of the resilience and unity of our people. It is a time to find solace in the presence of our loved ones and to cherish the friendships and bonds that sustain us. Let us take this opportunity to reach out to those who may be feeling alone or struggling, and to offer them the comfort and support they need.I am particularly mindful of the challenges faced by young people, who have had to adapt to new ways of learning and socializing. To all the young people of our nation, I want to express my admiration for your strength and determination in these trying times. You are the future of our country, and I have every confidence that you willrise to meet the challenges that lie ahead. As we celebrate Christmas, let us also remember the importance of caring for our planet and preserving its natural beauty for generations to come. Climate change is a pressing issue that requires our urgent attention, and each one of us has a role to play in protecting the environment. Let us commit ourselves to sustainable practices and to safeguarding the precious resources of our planet. In the coming year, there will be opportunities for us to come together as a nation and to build a brighter future for all. As we look ahead, I am filled with hope for the resilience and creativity of our people. Let us embrace the spirit of Christmas as a guiding light, and let it inspire us to work towards a future where every individual can thrive and prosper. In closing, I want to thank all those who have contributed to the well-being of our nation, whether through acts of kindness, dedication to their work, or simply by being a source of support to others. I extend my warmest wishes to each and every one of you for a Merry Christmas and a New Year filled with hope and opportunities.May the spirit of Christmas bring joy and peace to your hearts and homes. God bless you all.Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year.God Save the Queen!。
1 Sixty years ago today, a young woman spoke about the speed of technological change as she presented the first television broadcast of its kind. She described the moment as a landmark.2 QUEEN (in archival footage): Television has made it possible for many of you to see me in your homes on Christmas Day. My own family often gather round to watch television, as they are at this moment. And that is how I imagine you now.3 Six decades on, the presenter has evolved somewhat, as has the technology she described. Back then, who could have imagined that people would one day be watching this on laptops and mobile phones, as some of you are today? But I'm also struck by something that hasn't changed - that whatever the technology, many of you will be watching this at home.4 We think of our homes as places of warmth, familiarity and love - of shared stories and memories - which is perhaps why, at this time of year, so many return to where they grew up. There is a timeless simplicity to the pull of home.5 For many, the idea of home reaches beyond a physical building, to a hometown or city. This Christmas, I think of London and Manchester, whose powerful identities shone through over the past 12 months, in the face of appalling attacks. In Manchester, those targeted included children who had gone to see their favourite singer.A few days after the bombing, I had the privilege of meeting some of the young survivors and their parents.(Footage of the hospital visit)6 I described that hospital visit as a privilege because the patients I met were an example to us all, showing extraordinary bravery and resilience. Indeed, many of those who survived the attack came together just days later for a benefit concert. It was a powerful reclaiming of the ground and of the city those young people call home.7 We expect our homes to be a place of safety - sanctuary, even - which makes it all the more shocking when the comfort they provide is shattered. A few weeks ago, the Prince of Wales visited the Caribbean in the aftermath of hurricanes that destroyed entire communities. And here, in London, who can forget the sheer awfulness of the Grenfell Tower fire?8 Our thoughts and prayers are with all those who died and those who lost so much, and we are indebted to members of the emergency services who risked their own lives this past year, saving others. Many of them, of course, will not be at home today, because they are working to protect us.9 Reflecting on these events makes me grateful for the blessings of home and family and, in particular, for 70 years of marriage. I don't know that anyone had invented the term 'platinum' for a 70th wedding anniversary. When I was born, you weren't expected to be around that long.Even Prince Philip has decided it's time to slow down a little, having, as he economically put it, done his bit. But I know his support and unique sense of humour will remain as strong as ever as we enjoy spending time this Christmas with our family, and look forward to welcoming new members into it next year.10 In 2018, I will open my home to a different type of family, the leaders of the 52 nations of the Commonwealth, as they gather in the UK for a summit. The Commonwealth has an inspiring way of bringing people together, be it through the Commonwealth Games, which begin in a few months' time on Australia's Gold Coast, or through bodies like the Commonwealth Youth Orchestra and Choir - a reminder of how truly vibrant this international family is.11 Today, we celebrate Christmas, which, itself, is sometimes described as a festival of the home. Families travel long distances to be together. Volunteers and charities, as well as many churches, arrange meals for the homeless and those who would otherwise be alone on Christmas Day. We remember the birth of Jesus Christ, whose only sanctuary was a stable in Bethlehem. He knew rejection, hardship and persecution. And, yet, it is Jesus Christ's generous love and example which has inspired me through good times and bad.12 Whatever your own experience is this year, wherever and however you are watching, I wish you a peaceful and very happy Christmas.。

As a child, I never imagined that one day a man would walk on the moon. Yet this year we marked the fiftieth anniversary of the famous Apollo 11 mission.
As those historic pictures were beamed backed to earth, millions of us sat transfixed to our television screens, as we watched Neil Armstrong taking a small step for man and a giant leap for mankind and, indeed, for womankind. It's a reminder for us all that giant leaps often start with small steps.

Every year we herald the coming of Christmas by turning on the lights. And light does more than create a festive mood —light brings hope.
For Christians, Jesus is ‘the light of the world’, but we can’t celebrate his birth today in quite the usual way. People of all faiths have been unable to gather as they would wish for their festivals, such as Passover, Easter, Eid, and Vaisakhi. But we need life to go on. Last month, fireworks lit up the sky around Windsor, as Hindus, Sikhs and Jains celebrated Diwali, the festival of lights, providing joyous moments of hope and unity —despite social distancing.

Since my last message of Christmas greetings to you all,the world has witnessed many great events and sweeping changes. But they are already part of the long record of history. Now,as ever, the important time for mankind is the futurn. The incoming full of hope and promise, and their course can still be shaped by our will and action. The Christmas message of peace on earth, good will toward men, remains the same. But we can only achieve this if we are all truly ambitious for what is good and honorable. Humanity can only make progress by determination and concerted effort. One such concerted effort has been the campaign to free the world from hunger. I‘m very happy to know that the people of the Common-wealth have responded so generously to this campaign. Much has been achieved but there is still much to do and on this day of reunions and festivities in the glow of Christmas. Let us remember the many undernourished people, young and old, scattered throughout the world. All my family joins me in sending every one of you best wishes for Christmas and may God“s blessing be with you,in the coming year!

Casts of the same sculpture can be found in Belfast and Berlin, and it is simply called Reconciliation.
Reconciliation is the peaceful end to conflict, and we were reminded of this in August when countries on both sides of the First World War came together to remember in peace.
The ceramic poppies at the T ower of London drew millions, and the only possible reaction to seeing them and walking among them was silence. For every poppy a life;and a reminder of the grief of loved ones left behind.
As we gather here today in celebration of this joyous occasion, I am humbled and honored to address you all on this auspicious day. Christmas, a time of love, hope, and unity, has always held a special place in the hearts of the people of the United Kingdom. And as we come together to commemorate the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, it is important for us to reflect on the values that define this season and the impact they have on our lives.During this season of goodwill and generosity, it is only fitting that we acknowledge the tremendous efforts of those individuals who tirelessly work to make a difference in the lives of others. From the dedicated volunteers who give their time and energy to serve the less fortunate, to the brave men and women in uniform who protect our great nation, their selflessness is truly inspiring. They embody the true spirit of Christmas, where each and every one of us can make a positive impact, no matter how big or small. One of the most important aspects of Christmas is the spirit of giving. It is a time when we reach out to those less fortunate, ensuring that no one is left behind. This year, more than ever, we have witnessed the extraordinary kindness and generosity of the British people. From donating to food banks to supporting local businesses, our communities have come together, showing resilience and compassion in the face of adversity. Let us not forget the importance of continuing this spirit of giving throughout the year, for it is only through these small acts of kindness that we can truly make a difference in the lives of those around us.However, as we celebrate the season, we must also acknowledge the challenges that we have faced over the past year. The COVID-19 pandemic has brought unprecedented hardships and loss to countless families and communities. It has tested our strength and resilience, and we have mourned the loss of loved ones, jobs, and a sense of normalcy. But even in the face of adversity, we have seen the indomitable spirit of the British people shine through. Our healthcare workers, scientists, and frontline workers have worked tirelessly to keep us safe and protect the vulnerable. It is because of their unwavering dedication that we can gather here today, hopeful for the future. While the road ahead may still be uncertain, let us take comfort in the knowledge that we are not alone. We have each other, our families, our friends, and our communities. And as we embrace the spirit of Christmas, let us remember that love and unity can conquer all challenges. It is these principles that have guided us through the darkest of times, and it is these principles that will guide us towards a brighter future. In the spirit of this season, I would like to extend my gratitude to all those who have made this festive season possible. To the armed forces, who have safeguarded our nation and protected our values, I thank you for your unwavering dedication. To our healthcare workers and essential workers, who have been at the forefront of the fight against the pandemic, I am eternally grateful for your sacrifice and courage. To the charities andvolunteers, who have gone above and beyond to support those in need, your acts of kindness have not gone unnoticed and have made a tremendous impact on the lives of countless individuals. Finally, I would like to take a moment to reflect on the true meaning of Christmas. It is a time of hope, a time of joy, and a time of love. It is a time to be grateful for the blessings in our lives and to lend a helping hand to those less fortunate. It is a time to cherish our loved ones and to strengthen the bonds of friendship and community. And above all, it is a time to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, whose teachings of compassion, forgiveness, and love continue to inspire us.As we embark on this festive season, let us carry these messages of hope, love, and unity in our hearts. And may the spirit of Christmas shine brightly in our lives, now and always. May God bless you all and may you have a very Merry Christmas.Thank you.。

For many, the service of 'Nine Lessons and Carols' from King's College Cambridge is when Christmas begins. Listened to by millions of people around the world it starts with a chorister singing the first verse of once in royal David City. The priest who introduced this service to King's College Chapel exactly 100 years ago was Eric Milner White. He had served as a military chaplain in the First World War. Just six weeks after the Armistice he wanted a new kind of service which, with its message of peace and goodwill spoke to the needs of the times.
I once knew someone who spent a year in a plaster cast recovering from an operation on his back. He read a lot, and thought a lot, and felt miserable.Later, he realised this time of forced retreat from the world had helped him to understand the world more clearly. We all need to get the balance right between action and reflection. With so many distractions, it is easy to forget to pause and take stock. Be it through contemplation, prayer, or even keeping a diary, many have found the practice of quiet personal reflection surprisingly rewarding, even discovering greater spiritual depth to their lives.Reflection can take many forms. When families and friends come together at Christmas, it’s often a time for happy memories and reminiscing. Our thoughts are with those we have loved who are no longer with us. We also remember those who through doing their duty cannot be at home for Christmas, such as workers in essential or emergency services. And especially at this time of year we think of the men and women serving overseas in our armed forces. We are forever grateful to all those who put themselves at risk to keep us safe.Service and duty are not just the guiding principles of yesteryear; they have an enduring value which spans the generations.I myself had cause to reflect this year, at Westminster Abbey, on my own pledge of service made in that great church on Coronation Day sixty years earlier. The anniversary reminded me of the remarkable changesthat have occurred since the Coronation, many of them for the better; and of the things that have remained constant, such as the importance of family, friendship and good neighbourliness. But reflection is not just about looking back. I and many others are looking forward to the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow next year. The baton relay left London in October and is now the other side of the world, on its way across seventy nations and territories before arriving in Scotland next summer. Its journey is a reminder that the Commonwealth can offer us a fresh view of life.My son Charles summed this up at the recent meeting in Sri Lanka. He spoke of the Commonwealth’s “family ties” that are a source of encouragement to many. Like any family there can be differences of opinion. But however strongly they’re expressed they are held within the common bond of friendship and shared experiences. Here at home my own family is a little larger this Christmas. As so many of you will know, the arrival of a baby gives everyone the chance to contemplate the future with renewed happiness and hope. For the new parents, life will never be quite the same again! As with all who are christened, George was baptised into a joyful faith of Christian duty and service. After the christening, we gathered for the traditional photograph. It was a happy occasion, bringing together four generations. In the year ahead, I hope you will have time to pause for moments of quiet reflection. As the man in the plaster cast discovered, the results can sometimes be surprising. For Christians, as for all people of faith, reflection, meditation and prayer help us to renew ourselves in God’s love, as we strivedaily to become better people. The Christmas message shows us that this love is for everyone. There is no one beyond its reach. On the first Christmas, in the fields above Bethlehem, as they sat in the cold of night watching their resting sheep, the local shepherds must have had no shortage of time for reflection. Suddenly all this was to change. These humble shepherds were the first to hear and ponder the wondrous news of the birth of Christ - the first noel - the joy of which we celebrate today.I wish you all a very happy Christmas.。

This manuscript was revised by the office on December 22, 1 Sixty years ago today, a young woman spoke about the speed of technological change as she presented the first television broadcast of its kind. But I'm also struck by something thathasn't changed - that whatever the technology, many of you will be watching this at home.4 We think of our homes as places of warmth, familiarity and love -of shared stories and memories - which is perhaps why, at this timeof year, so many return to where they grew up. There is a timeless simplicity to the pull of home.5 For many, the idea of home reaches beyond a physical building, to a home town or city. This Christmas, I think of London and Manchester, whose powerful identities shone through over the past 12 months, in the face of appalling attacks. In Manchester, those targeted included children who had gone to see their favourite singer. A few days after the bombing, I had the privilege of meeting some of the young survivors and their parents.(Footage of the hospital visit)6 I described that hospital visit as a privilege because the patientsI met were an example to us all, showing extraordinary bravery and resilience. And here, in London, who can forget the sheer awfulness of the Grenfell Tower fire8 Our thoughts and prayers are with all those who died and those who lost so much, and we are indebted to members of the emergency services who risked their own lives this past year, saving others. Many of them, of course, will not be at home today, because they are working to protect us.9 Reflecting on these events makes me grateful for the blessings of home and family and, in particular, for 70 years of marriage. I don't know that anyone had invented the term 'platinum' for a 70th wedding anniversary. When I was born, you weren't expected to be around that long. Even Prince Philip has decided it's time to slow down a little, having, as he economically put it, done his bit. But I know his support and unique sense of humour will remain as strong as ever aswe enjoy spending time this Christmas with our family, and look forward to welcoming new members into it next year.10 In 2018, I will open my home to a different type of family, the leaders of the 52 nations of the Commonwealth, as they gather in the UK for a summit. Families travel long distancesto be together.Volunteers and charities, as well as many churches, arrange meals for the homeless and those who would otherwise be alone on Christmas Day. We remember the birth of Jesus Christ, whose only sanctuary was a stable in Bethlehem. He knew rejection, hardship and persecution. And, yet, it is Jesus Christ's generous love and example which hasinspired me through good times and bad.12 Whatever your own experience is this year, wherever and howeveryou are watching, I wish you a peaceful and very happy Christmas.。

(Her Majesty’s Most Gracious Speech)。
Sixty years ago today, a young woman spoke about the speed of technological change as she presented the first television broadcast of its kind. She described the moment asa landmark:六十年的今天,一位年轻的女士(女王幽默地说她自己),第一次通过电视,广播了她的讲话。
Television has made it possible for many of you to see me in your homes on Christmas Day. My own family often gather round to watch television, as they are at this moment. And that is how I imagine you now.
Six decades on, the presenter has evolved somewhat, as has the technology she described. Back then, who could have imagined that people would one day be watching this on laptops and mobile phones, as some of you are today?
But I'm also struck by something that hasn't changed - that whatever the technology, many of you will be watching this at home.
We think of our homes as places of warmth, familiarity and love - of shared stories and memories - which is perhaps why, at this time of year, so many return to where they grew up. There is a timeless simplicity to the pull of home. For many, the idea of home reaches beyond a physical building, to a home town or city.
This Christmas, I think of London and Manchester, whose powerful identities shone through over the past 12 months, in the face of appalling attacks. In Manchester, those targeted included children who had gone to see their favourite singer. A few days after the bombing, I had the privilege of meeting some of the young survivors and their parents.
I described that hospital visit as a privilege because thepatients I met were an example to us all, showing extraordinary bravery and resilience. Indeed, many of those who survived the attack came together just days later for a benefit concert. It was a powerful reclaiming of the ground and of the city those young people call home.
We expect our homes to be a place of safety - sanctuary, even - which makes it all the more shocking when the comfort they provide is shattered. A few weeks ago, the Prince of Wales visited the Caribbean in the aftermath of hurricanes that destroyed entire communities.
And here, in London, who can forget the sheer awfulness of the Grenfell Tower fire? Our thoughts and prayers are with all those who died and those who lost so much, and we are indebted to members of the emergency services who risked their own lives this past year, saving others. Many of them, ofcourse, will not be at home today, because they are working to protect us.
Reflecting on these events makes me grateful for the blessings of home and family and, in particular, for 70 years of marriage. I don't know that anyone had invented the term 'platinum' for a 70th wedding anniversary. When I was born, you weren't expected to be around that long.
Even Prince Philip has decided it's time to slow down a little, having, as he economically put it, done his bit. But I know his support and unique sense of humour will remain as strong as ever as we enjoy spending time this Christmas with our family, and look forward to welcoming new members into it next year.
