《视听说( 中级)》要求学生达到能听懂70-80%的英语谈话和讲座,能较好地听懂题材以及篇幅较长的英语广播和电视节目;能用英语就一般性话题进行比较流利的会话,能基本表达内容完整,观点明确,条理清楚,语句通顺的个人意见、情感、观点等。

三、对先修知识的要求学生学习本课程之前,应先修课程(《综合英语二级》,和(《视听说( 初级)》。

国内专门用途英语教材调研分析沈忆文朱梅萍北京外国语大学提要:目前国内出版的ESP 教材基本上跳出了以语法结构和功能为纲的编写思路,遵循“以学习为中心”的教材建设理念来选择教材内容和设计练习,把学习实践放在首位,注重学习者的语言使用过程,培养学生实际使用英语去从事所学专业各种业务活动的能力。

根据不同的教学目标,选择恰当的原汁原味的语言材料,再根据学习者的特征和学习方式等因素,对材料的学习重点和掌握情况提出不同的要求和标准。

在保证语言输入的质量、激发学习者的兴趣和动机方面作了许多有益的探索,并取得较好的效果。

但是,ESP 教材也存在着以下问题:教材定位不明确;目标读者不够细化;教材在专业知识和语言训练方面没有达到有机结合;“任务”活动缺乏实用性和针对性。

总之,目前ESP 教材由于市场的需求量增加而大量出现,质量良莠不齐。

我们认为,教材的编写者应该不断地对教材进行跟踪调查,了解教材的优点和缺点,及时更新内容,修正弱点,弥补教材中的不足,增强教材的适用性。

关键词:ESP 教材、双语教材、专业英语教材、学术英语教材、职业英语教材一、引言专门用途英语(English for Specific Purpose,ESP)是英语语言教学(English Language Teaching,ELT)的一个分支,同时也是应用语言学研究领域的一个热门学科。

刘润清先生早在1996 年就提出英语学习与其他学科的学习相结合的观点,他指出,将来英语学习的一个重大变化可能是不再单单学习英语,而是与其他学科结合起来。

以后的英语教学将越来越多地与某一方面的专业知识相结合,或者说与另一个学科的知识相结合(刘润清1996)。

之后,他再次指出,几年之内,大学英语教师的职业发展方向是走专门用途英语的道路(刘润清2010)。

中国海洋大学本科生课程大纲课程属性:公共基础/通识教育/学科基础/专业知识/工作技能,课程性质:必修、选修一、课程介绍1.课程描述:本课程为大学英语专门用途类扩展课程,教学对象是修完大学英语四级的非英语专业学生、或已通过大学英语四级考试的学生。

学生在听力理解、口语表达、阅读理解、书面表达、翻译方面的能力已经达到一般要求的英语能力,掌握的总词汇量应达到4500个单词和700个词组,已经掌握英语语音学、英语基础语法、英语语言与社会文化等基本专业基础知识,具有较高的英语听、说、读、写能力,能够借助工具书阅读国内外英语原版演讲与表达艺术的相关著作。

2.设计思路:本课程以《大学学术英语听说教程》为蓝本,但不拘泥于一种教材,并根据学术英语研究的发展和成果,博采众长,适量取舍和补充。

本课程作为大学英语拓展课程,在多年教学和研究的基础上设计教材,博采众长,更新内容,旨在运用二语习得和英语教学的有关理论,研究学术英语教习中的诸多问题。

本课程力求通过引导学生了解学术论文要件、学术报告展示常用语言、图表描述技能、点评小组讨论和presentation、践行课堂和课后练习,使学习者了解学术英语听说的基本知识和技能,规范地用英语进行口头学术交流。

- 7 -同时,本课程教学将根据混合式教学计划,引入线上学习、线上教学、线下学习、线下教学的思想,采用任务式、合作式的教学方法,改变课程实施教师枯燥讲解,一人唱独脚戏的方式,充分发挥学生的自主性;改变过于强调接受学习、死记硬背的现象,倡导学生主动参与、乐于探究、勤于动口动脑,培养学生搜集和处理信息的能力、获取新知识和批判性思维的能力、运用所学理论分析和解决问题的能力以及交流与合作的能力,以期通过改革将素质教育、创新教育落到实处,并构建一整套能够体现以产出为导向的教学机制(POA)。

二、课程目标学术英语是我国高等教育本科教学质量工程的有机组成部分。

该课程不但让学生学习英语,更重要的是使学生通过学习学术英语掌握国际学术规范和方法以及科学创新的思维方法,如逻辑性思维、批判性思维、创新性思维、比较性思维等,特别是规范、熟练、顺利地用英语进行口头学术交流。

教学内容:
(1)影片介绍,故事梗概,主要人物--公元180年罗马皇帝兼著名的斯多葛派哲学家马可·奥里利乌斯去世。他的儿子科莫多斯继承王位后立即剥夺了他父皇手下大将马克西莫斯的将军头衔并将他终生投入角斗场,以免他威胁自己的王位。这位曾经威风凛凛的大将军能否生存到向暴君复仇的那一天呢;
五、课时安排
《英语视听说》课程安排在第三学年,每周4课时,共32课时。

一、培养目标
《英语视听说》(English Movie Appreciation)是小教英语专业学生在高年级所开设的课程。旨在通过真实的场景、地道的语言和多样的练习提高学生的英语听说能力。充分利用多媒体技术,为学生提供丰富的视听材料和自主式的学习环境。题材广泛,内容丰富,语言规范,循序渐进提高学生的英语听说能力。

《英语视听说》共由4部电影作品组成。每课内容包括:影片简介,故事梗概,主要人物,主要对白,语言和文化疑难点注释,理解、欣赏题,小组讨论题,影片名句或主题歌欣赏,影片评论、主要演员介绍和有关文化背景知识等。
