汉译英：

1、2014年是令人难忘的。这一年，我们锐意推进改革，啃下了不少硬骨头，出台了一系列重大改革举措，许多改革举措同老百姓的利益密切相关。

2014 has been an unforgettable year for China. During this past year, we have pressed ahead with our reforms with keen determination. We cracked many hard nuts, introducing a string of major reform measures. Many of these reforms are closely intertwined with the daily lives of all our people.

2、腐败是人民政府的天敌，我们要用法治的思维，用制度来管权、管钱。Corruption is natural enemy of the people’s government. We must put the exercise of power and the use of public money under institutional checks.

3、有很多用于描述货币政策的词汇，例如“轻踩刹车”、“以操纵经济软着陆”，使货币政策听起来像是一门精确的科学。没有什么比这更远离实际情况的了。Much of the words used to describe monetary policy, such as “steering the economy to a soft landing” by “a touch on the brakes”, make s it sound like a precise science. Nothing could be further from the truth.

4、发展不平衡不是简单的经济问题，而是当今世界诸多矛盾热点的根源所在。Development imbalance is not a mere economic issue. It is at the root of many of the problems facing our world today.

5、改革开放30 年来，随着中国逐渐崛起成为政治经济强国，海外人士学习汉语的现象与日俱增，海外孔子学院也成了人们学习中国语言和中国文化的首选之地。

As China is rising as a political and economic world power, thanks to its three-decade reform and opening up, more and more people in overseas countries start to learn Chinese and turn to a Confucius Institute in their own countries as their first choice learning Chinese language and Chinese culture.

6、经济合作与发展组织（OECD）的综合领先指标显示，经济至少已出现轻微的好转。

The Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development composite leading indicator shows at least a slight uptick.

We are determined to jointly explore the development path and model suitable for each member’s specific circumstances. We will enhance policy coordination, experience exchange and mutual learning, and foster an enabling environment for diverse and common development of all member economies.

8、中国在驾驭本国经济适应“新常态”的过程中，也会在更大程度上增进全球共同福祉——无论是对于全球经济和金融稳定、环境可持续性，还是对于应对我们当前面临的紧迫全球挑战所需采取的多边方法都如此。

Indeed, as China navigates the “new normal” of its own econom y, it also contributes more to the global common good –to economic and financial stability, to environmental sustainability, and to a multilateral approach that is equal to the pressing global challenges facing us today.

9、中国坚持共同发展，理念不会动摇。当今世界，各国人民是一个休戚与共的命运共同体，市场、资金、资源、信息、人才等等都是高度全球化的。

China remains unshakable in its commitment to pursue common development. The world today is a community of common destiny. Markets, capital, resources, information and human talent have all become highly globalized.

10、越来越多的学习汉语的美国人除了对中国菜肴赞不绝口之外，也在尝试针灸，草药和武术。他们也看功夫电影，学习东方时装潮流和手工艺，不知不觉的在日常生活中谈及中国的点心，人参、银杏，乌龙茶等。

Apart from their love for Chinese cuisine, more and more American learners of Chinese language are turning to Chinese acupuncture, herbal medicines, martial arts. They are also interested in kongfu films, fashions and crafts. Seemingly outlandish words such as dim sum, ginseng, gingko, oolong cha have crept into their everyday language.

11、在欧元区和欧盟领导人看来，欧盟经济综合实力在下世纪将变得非常重要，为其在世界舞台上发挥更重要的作用奠定坚实的基础。

From the viewpoint of the leaders of EU and Euroland, the overall economic power of EU will become very important in the next century and will lay a solid foundation for its more important role in the world arena.

12、本合同用中、英两种文字写成，每种文字正本两份。两种文本具有同等效力，签字后双方各执中、英文本一份为凭。

The Contract is made out in both Chinese and English, two originals for each language. Each language is legally of equal effect. Each party keeps one Chinese version and one English version after signing the Contract.

To make the 21st Century Silk Road a success, we must tap into the our historical and cultural legacies, carry forward the spirit of peaceful cooperation, openness, inclusiveness, mutual learning, mutual benefit and win-win, and boost the confidence of the Asian people in pioneering maritime exploration, development, and cooperation.

15、计算机具有的功能可以使一个公司的人在全国乃至世界一起工作。但是，如果明天的计算机不是根据必须使用它们的人们的需要和能力设计的话，那么这种功能将毫无用处。换言之，必须遵循以人为中心的哲学。
