Skill 1: Grasp the main idea
→The main idea is often expressed in the topic sentence. But sometimes there is no topic sentence. Knowing the passage structure or the passage style can help sum up the main idea with your own words.
While comparing the choices, pay attention to the difference between details and main idea.
Skill 2: Infer the attitude, the writing purpose and the hidden meaning
→When inferring the attitude, the writing purpose and the hidden meaning, we should find the related facts to make reasonable and logic judgement.
Sometimes, the judgement is closely associated with the main idea
Skill 3: Guess the meaning of a word or a phrase
→We can guess the meaning according to the context, explanation, word formation, comparison, example and so on.
Skill 4: Determine detailed questions
近几年高考细节理解题由简单的寻找信息转向多层次的细节推理判断。
→The choice may be the original sentence but logically wrong. Mostly,choices are expressed in another way, in which case, we should compare them carefully.
