可能我们很多人会有这样的疑问，参考译文翻得很好，书上讲得也很好，可是关键问题是我自己想不到那样精妙的表达。
这绝对是很多人的疑问，我自己也不例外。
原因主要有两点：一是分析不足，二是练得不够。
几乎所有的翻译书都会教给我们各种方法：省略、合译法、词类转换等，可关键是我们学习了这么多方法之后不知道如何运用，有些时候甚至为了刻意用到某种方法而让译文变得诘屈聱牙。
今儿，我就再就自己的感受举几个例子，欢迎拍砖。
“久不回信，屡不回信，接信之乐必然就相对减少，以至于无，这时，友情便暂告中断了，直到有一天在赎罪的心情下，你毅然回起信来。
”——选自余光中《尺素寸心》看到这句话，先别急着下笔，要不然翻完铁定很惨，我们先来看一下这个句子的结构。
这句话可以分成两个句群，以“这时”为分界点。
先看前半句。
不难看出“久不回信”“屡不回信”导致了接信之乐减少甚至没有。
因果关系的句子，我们可以有很多种安排。
比如：If you don’t…, the pleasure of receiving letters will definitely…这样安排句式中规中矩，绝对没有问题。
我们把它补全了。
久不回信强调时间，就是不即时，屡不回信是说频率，就是不经常。
“相对减少以至于无”就是“越来越少，甚至没有”（这里依旧运用了昨儿说的白话过渡法，详见帖子《一招教你搞定散文中译英》）补全了就是If you don’t answer letters in time or frequently, the pleasure ofreceiving them will definitely become less and less, even none at all.上面这句是我翻的，还能凑合看，可咱不能满足啊，得继续研究。
上面说了，这句话是因果关系，既然是因果关系就肯定还有别的巨型。
比如，“久不回信、屡不回信”(A)的必然结果就是“乐的减少或没有”(B)。
