Part.I

When we were buying or partying on double-11 day a few days ago, Is there anyone know a disaster in human’s history has been ended for 100 years?

And now,I will lead you back to it.

That is –The Great War,which is ended for 100 years.

This is Macron,the president of France.He did a speech on double-11 day this year,which is the cease fire day of the Great War.In is speech, he said,“……Patriotism is the extreme opposite of nationalism.

Nationalism is the betrayal of patriotism.

If someone says, "Our benefits are first, who cares about others?“He has erased what is most valuable to a country,

what gives it life, what makes it strong.

That's the most improtant thing: Moral values ……”

In his speech we can experience a strong feeling to stop the war and work for it together.

Part.II

While what is the influence of the Great War?

Let’s rewiew the process of the war frist.The left 4 are Central Powers:Germany, Austro-Hungary,Ottoan and Italy.

The right 4 are Allied Powers:the United Kingdom,France,the United States and Russia.

(But the league are not always strong.In May,1915, Italy broke with Austro-Hungary,and joined the Allied Powers)

In the end,the Allied Powers were win,and the Central Powers were lose.

After the war,4 empires were overturned by revolutions.They

are

Germany,Austro-Hungary,Ottoan and Russia.And there were many new countries builded on their ruins.

This is the League of Nations,which is the greatest achievement of the Great War.

In Jun. 20th,1920, 58 countries set up the League of Nations in Geneva, Switzerland.Although it has some disadvantages,the League of Nations has contributed greatly to keep the world system(Versailles-Washington System) for 25 years.

The Great War also developed the technology greatly.When soldiers entered the battlefield,they were riding horses.But when the left the battlefield,they were diving tanks and planes.

Part.III

As we know,D-day in Normandie(Operation Overlord) is the largest landing campaign in WWII.But today I will show you D-day in Gallipoli(Dardanelles Campaign),which is the largest landing campaign in WWI.

Allied armies had a smart strategy(战略），which is put forward by

Winston Churchill(He was the secretary of the navy.(海军大臣））But in fact,they were led by wrong decisions from their superiors(上级们）.And they were violently opposed by the ottomans. So in Jun.9th,1916 ,the allied armies failed and retreat.

Allied armies lost 44000 soldiers in this campaign.For Ottomans, the number is 86000,but the defend Gallipoli successfully.

For ANZAC(澳新军团：协约国联军的的一部分），although they lost this campaign,it strengthened the friendship between Australians and New Zealanders. ANZAC often took the lead of Allied armies in this campaign.So since 1921, ANZAC Day(Apr. 25th) became a Legal holiday in these 2 countries.

For Ottomans,they defended Gallipoli.And this campaign severely
