中国著名翻译访谈－－朱彤（朱总理口译员）朱彤，毕业于北京外交学院，后考入北京外国语大学联合国译员培训班，1990年进入外交部翻译室，为国家领导人做翻译工作，现为翻译室培训处副处长。

她在重大政治活动中，特别是在朱镕基就任总理的首次记者招待会上，以其精湛的翻译才华，给人留下深刻而美好的印象。

硬着头皮学政策她说，作为一名外交翻译，具备良好的政治、政策水平是极其重要的。

作为一个外交翻译和一般翻译的最大不同之处就是--外交翻译在政治、政策方面有非常高的要求，就是说，作为外交翻译注定要通过口和笔把国家的方针政策非常准确达意地传达出去，让别人了解。

如果光从字面上理解这些政策、方针、内容是不够的，必须从政治高度理解其实质，才能够掌握精神。

她刚到翻译室时，最大的不适应就是政治学习。

开始也觉得挺烦，每天都要学文件、读报告，挺抵触的。

那时她便带一本英文杂志到会场，上面讲，她在下面看别的书。

后来，翻译室的老同志提出政治学习的重要性--外交翻译有的时候有把关的作用。

于是，她才开始重视这一点，才知道这对于她有多重要。

举例说，江主席曾经提出过一个16字方针："增加信任，减少麻烦，发展合作，不搞对抗。

"在一段时间里，每次谈中美关系都要提16字方针，有的领导人也提到了16字方针，个别时候就会不小心少说一个，这时候，就要翻译来补全。

克林顿总统去年访华，在上海有一个"三不承诺"。

他提出："不支持搞两个中国、一中一台；不支持台湾独立，不支持台湾加入任何国际组织。

"朱彤有一次给一个部领导作翻译时，他提到"三不承诺"，说的是"不支持搞两个中国；不支持一中一台；不支持台湾独立"。

很明显，落下了一条。

她于是根据自己的记忆补全了。
