Seeing the same surroundings day after day is boring compared to exploring new places in nature. Being alone without a mate or herd makes them lonely. We could see the Hudson River, Central Park, the Brooklyn Bridge, and tons of other landmarks. It was a perfect sunny day too.After that, it was sadly time to go home. I had so much fun exploring the Big Apple with my classmates. We got to practice our English skills ordering food, asking directions, and chatting with locals. But more importantly, we made amazing memories that will last forever!New York City was nothing like the small town I grew up in, but that's what made it such an awesome adventure. I took a peek at her book and let me tell you, Unit 3 looks super cool!The first part is all about travel and tourism. There are texts about different vacation spots like beaches, mountains, and cities. My favorite part was learning about all the amazing places you can visit around the world. From tropical islands with crystal clear waters to snowy peaks perfect for skiing and snowboarding, it's like a dream come true for an adventure lover like me!But you know what I loved most? The dialogues! They had conversations about things like booking hotel rooms, asking for directions, and ordering food at restaurants. How useful is that? Ican't wait until I'm old enough to go on big trips and put those skills to use. No more getting lost or struggling to communicate!Ooh ooh, and then there were reading passages all about cool travel experiences people had. One was about a family who went on a safari in Africa and saw all these incredible animals up close. Another was about a student who did a home stay in Japan and learned so much about the culture there. Sign me up for adventures like those!My sister also showed me the writing section where you have to compose emails, letters, and even travel blogs and reviews. That looks like so much fun! I'm already imagining myself writing all about the amazing places I visit when I'm older. You know I'd give everywhere a five-star review if they had good ice cream!Apart from all the travel stuff, Unit 3 covers a ton of other great topics too. There are lessons on environmental protection which is super important for keeping our planet healthy. And get this - there's even a section about the Olympics! How cool is that?I loved reading about the different sports and amazing athletes who compete. Someday I hope I can be an Olympian too. Probably in ice skating or gymnastics!You know what else was really neat? All the vocabulary words related to the unit topics. My sister taught me some and now I can say things like "eco-tourism", "customs declaration", and "cultural heritage site." I'm basically an expert traveler now! Well, except for the actual travelling part. That'll have to wait until I'm older.Anyway, I could go on and on about Unit 3 but I don't want to spoil everything for you. Just know that it's jam-packed with super engaging material about travel, culture, sports, the environment, and more. My sister gets to learn English while reading about the coolest stuff ever!Part of me is sad I have to wait so long before I get to that level in school. But then again, just flipping through the book gave me tons of new knowledge and made me excited to keep learning. Who knows what amazing adventures await me once I've mastered all that Unit 3 has to offer? Maybe I'll be a world traveler visiting every corner of the globe. Or an interpreter helping people from different cultures understand each other. Or even an environmental activist fighting to protect natural wonders everywhere!The possibilities are endless and it's all thanks to awesome units like Unit 3.
