• Your oral essay should include three things;
1. An introduction
The introduction needs to grab the reader or the listeners attention!
In this talk I will create an argument that supports the statement that Prisons should be a place of rehabilitation not punishment.
2. The main body
In the main body each paragraph should focus on one piece of evidence. i.e A:Topic sentence Firstly, Students are adults and as such they can make their own decisions about their life. B. Evidence Second Supporting Point, Evidence & Transition C. Opposition/Rebuttal Third Supporting Point, Evidence & Transition D. Smooth Transition
Persuasive argument topics

I am very lucky to have been born where I was. The United Kingdom is not perfect, it has many problems but at the heart of British culture is the belief that we are all free to have an opinion.
