(1).表示两者在某方面程度相同时, 用as+adj/adv原级+as +比较对象 和…一样

(3)as ... as”结构中还可以用倍数、分数、百分 数和half, a quarter等来表示等同的程度。 • • • • • • 你只有你弟弟一半聪明。 You are half as clever as your brother. 北京有我的家乡10个大。 Beijing is ten times as big as my hometown. Lucy 的年龄是Helen的三分之一。 Lucy is one third as old as Helen.
(2)表示某人或者某物在某方面不如另一个人 或者另一物时,用 not so/as+adj/adv原级+as +比较对象, ‘和…不一样,不如…。可以和“比较级 +than”进行转换 • The classroom is not so( as) clean as usual. • 教室不像平常一样干净。 • The classroom is dirtier than usual. • He doesn't get up so/as early as his father. • 他起床不如他的父亲早。 • He gets up later than his father.
