Global hospitality interior design firm, HBA, has won several prestigious design awards for projects completed in 2011. Top honors were received from the Perspective Awards, the Boutique Design Awards and the Sleep European Hotel Design Awards.
The Perspective Awards 2011 were held on November 10th at The Mira Hong Kong. A record total of 81 Trophies and Certificates of Excellent were awarded across the industry at the Gala Ceremony, attended by more than 350 top achievers from the architecture, interiors and product design industries. HBA received awards for Best Hotel for the Siam Kempinski Bangkok and Best Renovation for the Waldorf Astoria Shanghai. In addition, HBA received two Certificates of Excellence for the Hotel Indigo Shanghai and the Fairmont Peace Hotel.
The sixth annual Boutique Design Awards honored the best and brightest hotel, spa, restaurant and nightclub designs. Winners were announced at the Boutique
Design Awards Ceremony on Sunday, November 13th in the BDNY Theatre. HBA was celebrated with three notable awards including Best Renovation for the Fairmont Peace Hotel, Best Spa for the ESPA Istanbul and Best Bathroom for the Waldorf Astoria Shanghai.
The Sleep Event Europe fuses inspiration, innovation and opportunities for the design, development and architecture of hotels across the globe. The European Hotel Design Awards, part of the Sleep Event Europe, took place on November
22nd at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge in London and awarded HBA Best Spa for the ESPA Istanbul.
“It’s been a privilege to work with some of the world’s most extraordinary hospitality brands,” said Ian Carr, co-CEO of HBA. “It is such an honor to be awarded such highly esteemed awards for five very different properties where HBA has developed brand-defining interiors.”
