Chengde Petroleum College(CDPC)is a public higher vocational college with a history of105years,which is inherited from Beiyang Technical College founded in 1903in Tianjin,the earliest higher technical and vocational school of China，also the birthplace of the“work-integrated learning”idea.It moved to Chengde city,a famous historical city with beautiful scenery in1958.In2007,CDPC was honored as “National Demonstration Higher Vocational Institution under Key Construction”by both Ministry of Education and Ministry of Finance.

承德石油高等专科学校是中央与地方共建，以河北省人民政府管理为主的普通高等学校，始于1903年在天津创办的“北洋工艺学堂”，是我国兴办最早的高等工业职业院校，是“工学结合”办学理念的发源地。1905年学校创建的实习工场是我国创办时间最早的高等学校校办实习工厂之一。1958年迁至河北省承德市，是国家示范性高等职业院校重点建设院校。

CDPC covers an area of80ha including two campuses,and the building area is 260thousand square meters.The equipment of teaching and scientific research values 70,640thousand dollars,and the library book collection is more than800thousand volumes and1,500kinds of Chinese and foreign periodical are subscribed.The college establishs16teaching departments,including41specialties,most of which are polytechnics,and offers continuing education and on-the-job training as well. CDPC recruits students from almost throughout the country,with a total number of 9726full-time,4500part-time students at present.

学校占地面积1200亩，校舍建筑面积26万平方米；教学科研仪器设备7064万元；图书馆藏书80余万册，收订期刊1500余种；体育场地面积116000平方米。学校现设12系2部2中心，开设高职专科专业41个；面向29个省份招生，现有普通高职专科在校生9726人，成人教育学历教育学生4500人，年各类培训9000人次。学校有专任教师445人，高职称高学历教师均超过1/3，有14位教师被教育部聘为高职高专专业教学指导委员会委员，有32位教授，3位省级名师，入选省级人才工程17人，1个教育部优秀教学团队，1个省级团队。学校有教育部高工专示范专业3个、省级高职高专示范专业2个，教育部教学改革试点专业8个，国家级示范重点支持建设专业5个；省级以上精品课程14门，其中国家精品课程6门；近年主编出版全国高职高专规划教材48部，4部获“全国普通高校优秀教材”奖；近年承担市厅级以上教科研课题160多项，服务企业技术课题100余项，50余项成果获奖，共发表学术论文1600余篇，其中核心期刊论文400余篇；取得国家专利15项；学校有“河北省仪器仪表工程研究中心”

等13个研究所；高等教育研究所是全国首批优秀高等教育研究机构；公开出版的《学报》是全国高职高专优秀学报，并获全国优秀科技期刊奖。学校建有专业覆盖面齐全、软硬件配套的校内实验实训基地群，建有中央职业教育数控技术实训基地，河北省职业教育石油化工生产技术实训基地、PLC应用技术实训基地，有校外实训和产学合作基地145个。学校是全国产学研合作教育试点单位、全国创业培训试点院校，教育部技能型紧缺人才培养培训基地、教育部高职高专石油工程专业教学指导委员会主任单位、化工技术教学指导委员会主任单位。2003年，河北省人民政府与中国石油天然气集团公司签署了共建承德石油高等专科学校协议。学校先后与8所国内院校和7所国外院校建立了校际合作关系。学校强化学生职业能力和素质的培养，取得显著成效，学生曾获全国数学建模大赛一等奖、电子设计大赛一等奖、化工职业技能竞赛个人全能一等奖、“一汽——大众奥迪专业双杯竞赛总决赛”全国总冠军等多种奖项，毕业生就业一次签约率连续数年列河北省同类院校第一名。

There are445professional teachers,253of whom are dual-titled,155owning senior titles(32professors),14serving as members of China Higher Vocational School Education Committee.CDPC also retains409part-time teachers from enterprises and industrial associations to develop courses,guide practice training or teach.There are8teaching reform experimental specialties,3national demonstration specialties and5specialties of national key demonstration under construction in CDPC.16courses have been awarded the title of“Fine Course”,6of which are at the state level.Teachers of CDPC have published48national or ministerial programming textbooks,4of which won the honor of“National Outstanding Teaching Materiales”, 32were elected to be“National Programming Textbooks”.Teachers in the college have undertaken more than160scientific and about100technical research tasks, obtainning16state patents.They have published1600scientific papers,of which400 are enrolled by core journals.The Journal of Chengde Petroleum College is issued publicly and has received the title of“National Outstanding Journal of Higher Vocational College”and won the honor of“National Excellent Technical Journal”.
