Step Ⅰ Greetings Welcome the students back to school and ask them if they had a good time during the summer holidays. Invite different students to describe what they did in the summer vacation. Step Ⅱ 1a This activity reviews earlier vocabulary and introduces some new words. Read the instructions to the class. Read the list of ways of studying to the class. Point to actual objects in the classroom or to the items in the illustration to show the meaning of each item on the list. Explain that a flashcard is a piece of paper or card which students write a word on and use to memorize information. Ask students to check the ways they usually study for an English test. While they are doing this, write the list on the board. Then read the list to the class and ask students to raise their hands to show which things they checked, write the number of hands you see after each item on the board. 一、教学内容:九年级英语GFI Unit 1 How do you study for a test? Period One (1a-1c)
二、教材分析
本节课是九年级英语GFI的第一单元,主要是通过How问句询问他人的学习英语的方法,并运用by+V.ing谈论个人的学习方法,逐步学习和掌握句型结构进一步介绍他人的学习方法,从中再学习一般现在时态中人称的变化和动词的变化形式。
三、学情分析
九年级的学生已经步入中招的关键阶段,学生在学习英语过程中已经早有自己的学习习惯和方法,所以在谈论这一话题时应该有更多的发言兴趣,但对中等或后进生来说,能通过谈论这一话题从中学习和借鉴他人的学习方法应该对他们来说也会有兴趣可谈,也更能激发他们的学习兴趣与积极性。
四、教学策略
九年级的学生有部分对英语的学习已经有点艰难,并且可能出现了厌倦,所以在教学过程中要简单而且要保证学生们能掌握基本句型,并通过听说反复操了句型,让每一位学生都有话可说,有勇气可谈。
同时,在教学过程中为学生创设简易的情景,联系个人的实际进行操练对话,从而加强学生对句型和词汇的实际运用。
另外,通过调查报告的汇报,提高学生的写作能力和运用能力。

Get Ss to read & explain the ways in the box of 1a, ask the Ss to discuss and find out what the same structure is with the ways given in the box. Then practice with the structures with their onw sentences.

在这两个班级的教学中,很多学生对英语学习的兴趣不是很高,所以在教学过程中要注意引导学习参与课堂教学,尤其是引导他们对一些知识的思考,对重要的句型和难于记忆的单词要在课堂中反复练习使用和认读,加强学生的运用和记忆。
在语法和句型结构上要多让学生思考、讨论、发现,从而使学生对知识点的理解和掌握,提高他们的成就感。
在课堂中,要注重关照后进生对知识的掌握,落实每一位学生都能基本理解知识点,从而能在下节课中掌握好。
