九年级人教版英语全一册第十四单元作文
九年级人教版英语全一册第十四单元作文全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1My Favorite Olympic SportHi there! My name is Timmy and I'm 10 years old. I love watching the Olympic Games, especially the Summer Olympics. There are so many cool sports to watch! Today I want to tell you all about my favorite Olympic sport – gymnastics!Gymnastics is just so amazing. The gymnasts are some of the strongest and most flexible athletes in the world. They make all those crazy flips, tumbles and twists look easy, but I know they must train super hard for years and years to get that good.I've tried doing cartwheels and handstands before in gym class, but I'm not nearly as talented as the Olympic gymnasts. Those guys and girls can do all sorts of mind-blowing moves on the different apparatuses like the vault, uneven bars, balance beam and floor exercise. Just watching them is enough to make my head spin!My favorite gymnast is Simone Biles from the United States. She's like a real-life superhero! At the 2016 Olympics in Rio, she won four gold medals and one bronze. Her floor routine with all the crazy tumbling passes was insane. I've watched her routines like a million times and I still can't believe how high she gets on her tumbles and how perfect her form is. She's so powerful and controlled at the same time.I also love watching the mens' gymnastics, especially on the high bar and parallel bars. Those dudes have about a million muscles and they do the craziest release moves where they let go of the bars and just fly through the air before catching the bar again. I tried doing that on the jungle gym once but I totally bailed and landed right on my butt! Those Olympic gymnasts make it look so easy but I know it takes endless hours of training to pull off moves like that.My dream is to try out for the Olympics one day, but first I'll need to join my school's gymnastics team. I've been bugging my parents for years to let me take gymnastics classes. All the flipping, tumbling and flying through the air just looks like so much fun! Maybe I'll get strong and flexible enough to make it all the way to the Olympics someday. You never know! But even if I never become a world-class gymnast, I'll always love watching the sport at the Olympics. Nothing gets my heart pumping like seeing the men and women compete on each apparatus, going for those crazy high-difficulty skills and insane routines. Will they stick the landing? Will they stay on the beams and bars? I'm always on the edge of my seat the whole time!Gymnasts have to be total athletes – strong as bulls and nimble as cats at the same time. They have to be brave too, to fling themselves so high in the air and to tumble and twist around like that. Sometimes they take horrible falls and get really bad injuries, but they just keep getting back up and trying again. That's what I admire most about gymnasts – their grit and determination to never give up, even when things get tough.I really think gymnastics is the coolest sport, and the Olympic gymnasts are the best athletes out there. When I see a perfect 10 routine, I just get so amazed and inspired. Those Olympics moments make me dream of one day being that good myself. But for now, I'll just have to keep practicing my cartwheels in the backyard and cheering on my Olympic heroes from the couch. Gymnastics is just the most epic Olympic sport ever and I love everything about it – the strength, flexibility, artistry anddaredevil skills. Watching the Olympic gymnastics competitions is always the highlight of the Summer Games for me.I really hope gymnastics stays in the Olympics forever, because it's such an awesome display of human ability. All those flips, twists and superhuman performances just blow my mind every single time. I've got my fingers crossed that someday, maybe in the next Olympics or the one after that, I'll get to see a perfect 10 routine again. When those gymnasts nail everything and stick that final landing, I just get goosebumps thinking about all their hard work paying off on the biggest stage. That's true sportsmanship and athletic excellence at its finest. So those are my thoughts on gymnastics, my all-time favorite Olympic sport. From the gravity-defying releases to the insane tumbling passes, it's just such an electric and thrilling event to witness. I have so much respect and awe for those gymnasts and what they can do. The Olympics will never be the same for me without getting to see the best gymnasts in the world compete.Watching the gymnas篇2Certainly! Here's an essay written from the perspective of a middle school student, approximately 2000 words long, on Unit 14 of the Grade 9 PEP English Textbook:Unit 14: Environmental ProtectionHey there! It's me, your friendly neighborhood middle schooler, and today I want to talk to you about something really important – protecting our environment. I know, I know, it might sound like a boring topic, but trust me, it's super crucial for all of us.First things first, let me tell you about this awesome science project we did in class last week. Our teacher asked us to observe the changes in our school's backyard over a period of time. We were all super excited because it meant we got to spend some time outside instead of being cooped up in the classroom. Little did we know, this project would open our eyes to the harsh realities of environmental pollution. On our first day of observation, the backyard looked pretty neat. The grass was green, the flowers were blooming, and a few birds were chirping away. But as the days went by, we started noticing some not-so-nice changes. The grass started turning brown in patches, and there was litter scattered all over the place.Even the birds seemed to have flown away, probably because of all the noise and garbage. That's when it hit us – we were contributing to the problem without even realizing it! All those candy wrappers and soda cans we carelessly threw away ended up polluting our own school's backyard. Talk about a wake-up call! But it didn't stop there. Our teacher then taught us about the bigger picture – how pollution is affecting our entire planet. She showed us these scary images of smog-filled cities,plastic-infested oceans, and disappearing rainforests. It was like something out of a dystopian movie, except it was real life! That's when we knew we had to do something about it. So, our class decided to take action and start an environmental club. Our first project was to organize a school-wide cleanup day. You should have seen us all, armed with gloves and trash bags, picking up every piece of litter we could find. It was tiring work, but it felt so good to be doing our part.Next, we started a recycling program at school. We placed special bins in every classroom and encouraged everyone to separate their waste. It was amazing to see how much plastic, paper, and metal we were able to divert from landfills just by taking a few extra steps. But we didn't stop there. We also started a campaign to raise awareness about energy conservation. We made posters reminding everyone to turn off lights and electronics when not in use, and even organized a "Lights Out" event where the entire school went without electricity for an hour. It was a little spooky at first, but it really drove home the importance of being energy-efficient.And you know what? Our efforts didn't go unnoticed. We received so much support and appreciation from our teachers, parents, and the entire community. It felt incredible to know that we were making a real difference, no matter how small. Now, I know what you're thinking – "But I'm just one person, what can I do?" Well, let me tell you, every little bit counts. If each one of us makes a conscious effort to reduce our environmental footprint, the impact will be massive. It could be as simple as carrying a reusable water bottle instead of buying plastic ones, or walking or biking to school instead of taking the bus. Or, you could start a compost bin at home and reduce your food waste. Heck, you could even plant a few trees in your backyard or neighborhood park! The point is, we all have a responsibility to take care of our planet. It's the only one we've got, and if we don't protect it, whowill? So, let's all take a page out of our environmental club's book and start making some positive changes.Remember, small steps lead to big impacts. If we all work together, we can make this world a cleaner, greener, and healthier place for generations to come. It's up to us to be the change we want to see in the world. So, what do you say? Are you ready to join me on thiseco-friendly adventure? Let's do this!篇3Unit 14: Healthy LivingHi there! My name is Emily, and I'm a 9-year-old student in primary school. Today, I want to share my thoughts on something really important – healthy living! It's a topic that our teacher has been discussing a lot in class lately, and I've learned so many cool things that I can't wait to tell you about.First things first, what does it mean to live a healthy life? Well, from what I understand, it's all about taking care of your body and mind in the best possible way. It's like giving your body the fuel and care it needs to run smoothly, just like how you need to fill up your car with gas and get it serviced regularly. One of the most important things for healthy living is eating the right foods. I used to think that junk food was the best – who doesn't love a big bag of chips or a chocolate bar? But now I know that while those things can be tasty, they're not very good for my body. Instead, I try to eat lots of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins like chicken or fish. My mom always packs me a healthy lunch for school, with things like a turkey sandwich on whole-grain bread, an apple, and some carrot sticks. At first, I wasn't too excited about it, but now I can feel the difference in how much energy I have during the day!Another key part of healthy living is staying active. This one is a lot of fun for me because I love playing sports and running around outside. Every day after school, I try to go out and play with my friends – we'll kick a soccer ball around, play tag, or just run and jump and be silly. Sometimes, my parents will take me and my little brother to the park on the weekends, and we'll go for a hike or ride our bikes. It's so much fun, and it keeps our bodies strong and healthy! But healthy living isn't just about food and exercise – it's also about taking care of our minds and emotions. That's why it's important to find ways to relax and de-stress, like reading a book, listening to music, or just spending time with people we love. Myfavorite way to unwind is by cuddling up with my dog, Buddy, and reading one of my favorite stories. It's like a little vacation for my brain! You might be thinking, "Wow, Emily, that sounds like a lot of work!" And you're right, it does take some effort to live a healthy lifestyle. But the great thing is that it gets easier and easier the more you practice it. And the rewards are so worth it! When I take care of my body and mind, I feel happier, more energetic, and ready to take on anything that comes my way.So, there you have it – my thoughts on healthy living! I hope that by sharing what I've learned, I can inspire you to make healthy choices too. It's never too early (or too late!) to start taking care of yourself in the best way possible. Just remember to eat well, stay active, and take time to relax and recharge. Your body and mind will thank you for it!篇4My Exciting Trip to the CountrysideHi everyone! My name is Wang Xiaoming and I'm a 9th grader at No. 8 Middle School in Beijing. I just had the most amazing experience that I can't wait to tell you all about! Over the National Day holiday, my parents surprised me with a trip tovisit my grandparents in their village in Hebei province. I was really excited because I love going to the countryside, but this time was extra special. We took the high-speed train from Beijing and it only took about an hour to get to the station near my grandparents' village. My grandpa was waiting there with his old truck to pick us up. I was so happy to see him! As we drove through the village, I rolled down the window to smell the fresh air and listen to the birds chirping. It's so peaceful and quiet there compared to the noisy, crowded city. When we arrived at my grandparents' house, my grandma came running out with the biggest smile on her face. She pulled me in for a giant hug and I could smell the comforting aroma of her cooking wafting from the kitchen. My grandparents are getting older but they still have so much energy and life in them.I love that about the countryside. After we got settled in, my grandpa asked if I wanted to go explore the fields with him. Of course I said yes! We headed out behind their little house and walked through the crops. Grandpa showed me which ones were wheat, corn, soybeans and more. He taught me all about the growing seasons and how to recognize when crops are ready to harvest. I had so much funwalking through the tall plants and taking in all the sights, smells and sounds of nature. In the evening, the whole family sat around the table together to enjoy a delicious home-cooked dinner made by my grandma. She made so many of my favorite dishes like braised chicken with potatoes, stir-fried greens, and freshly made dumplings. I stuffed myself but saved a little room for dessert - sweetened yogurt drink and some crisp apple slices. Eating grandma's food always makes me feel so warmand happy inside. After dinner, my grandpa showed me one of his most prized possessions - a beautiful wooden feather carvings that he had made himself using wood from the peach trees on their land. The details were extraordinary and I could see the love and care he put into each one. He has such incredible talent! He taught me how to do a few basic whittling techniques and I tried my hand at making a simple bird carving. Mine was pretty rough, but grandpa said it was a great first effort. I felt proud that I was learning this traditional folk art form. The next day, we woke up bright and early to tend to the crops and the vegetable garden. My grandparents showed me how to properly water the plants, pull weeds, and look for pests or disease. They have an amazing green thumb and the gardenwas flourishing with tomatoes, peppers, eggplants, herbs, and so much more. I've always enjoyed gardening, but this made me appreciate all the back-breaking work that goes into growing food for a family. I have a newfound respect for farmers. In the afternoon, my grandpa's friend Mr. Zhang came over. He raises chickens, ducks, and rabbits and brought me to see his coops and pens. The baby chicks were absolutely adorable! I got to feed them cracked corn right out of my hands. Mr. Zhang even let me hold one of the bunnies. Its tiny twitching nose tickled my palm. I could've spent all day watching the animalsduck around the yard. They all seemed so content and happy in their simple country life.On our last night, the whole village had a big bonfire and dance celebration. My grandparents got all dressed up in their colorful traditional outfits and we joined the fun. The dancers formed circles and lines, kicking their feet up high andswirling around elegantly to the rhythm of drums and gongs. Some dances told ancient folk stories through movements and props. When the musicians took a break, village elders shared funny stories and jokes that had everyone doubled over in laughter. The sense of community and cultural pride warmed my heart.Eventually it was time to pack up and head back to Beijing, but I left the village with a million wonderful memories to cherish. My grandparents' way of life is so different from the modern cities, but there's an incredible richness and beauty in their traditions. I have a deeper understanding of where I came from and greater appreciation for the hard work and values of past generations. I feel so fortunate to have experiences like this that connect me to my roots.I already can't wait to go back to the countryside again! Maybe next time grandpa will let me drive the truck. Just kidding...I think I'll wait a few more years for that! Let me know if you've ever visited a rural village in China. What did you most enjoy about being in nature and experiencing the traditional lifestyles? I'd love to hear your stories. Thanks for reading about my amazing trip!篇5My Summer Vacation AdventuresSummer vacation is finally here! I can't wait to spend my days playing outside, having fun with my friends, and not having to worry about homework or getting up early for school. This summer is going to be the best one yet!The first week of vacation, my family went on a camping trip to the mountains. We packed up our tent, sleeping bags, some food, and all the other supplies we would need for a few days in the great outdoors. The drive there took forever, but it was so worth it when we arrived. The campsite was surrounded by tall trees and had a beautiful lake nearby. As soon as we set up the tent, I ran straight for the lake and jumped right in – the water was cold but so refreshing on a hot summer day!We spent our days hiking through the woods, canoeing on the lake, and telling stories around the campfire at night. One night, we even made s'mores! I had never tried one before, but the gooey roasted marshmallow between the chocolate and graham crackers was absolutely delicious. I'll definitely be begging my parents to make s'mores again soon.On our last morning at the campsite, we woke up early to watch the sunrise over the lake. Seeing the colors in the sky slowly change from dark blue to brilliant oranges and pinks was breathtaking. I tried to capture the moment by taking a million pictures on my camera, but none of them could truly do the real thing justice. It was such a magical way to end our camping adventure. When we got back home, I only had a couple days to relax before I had to start my summer camp. Every year, I go to a day camp where we do all kinds of fun activities like arts and crafts, sports, swimming, and even little field trips. My favorite part is always the arts and crafts because I love being creative and making things with my own two hands. This year at camp, we made all sorts of fun projects liketie-dye t-shirts, painted flower pots, jewelry boxes out of popsicle sticks, and more. I decided to give my flower pot to my mom since she loves gardening. She loved it so much that she planted her favorite flowers in it right away! Seeing the smile on her face made me so happy. The jewelry box I made is now holding all my favorite rings, necklaces, and bracelets on my dresser. In between all the cool crafts, we also played a ton of fun games during camp like capture the flag, kickball, and even sled down a huge hill on plastic saucers! I have to admit, I wiped out and ate dirt a few times, but I just brushed myself off and got right back out there. No pain, no gain, right? By the end of every day, I was absolutely exhausted from running around all day, but it was totally worth it.On top of the camp activities and my relaxing days at home, some of my closest friends and I tried to get together as much as possible too. We spent many blissful afternoons running through the sprinklers in each other's yards, having epic water balloon fights, and devouring popsicles until our mouths were bright shades of red, blue, and purple. Those sugary treats would stain our hands and faces, but we didn't even care – brain freezes and all, we kept going back for more!My friends and I also had a lemonade stand one sunny Saturday to try and make some extra money for our little fun fund. We spent hours making signs, mixing up the lemonade, and calling out, "Lemonade for sale!" to everyone who walked by.A lot of people stopped to buy a cup, especially on such a hot day. By the end of the afternoon, our profits added up to 17.25! We were so proud of ourselves. I took my share and spent it on some new comic books and candy from the corner store.Sadly, my summer vacation is coming to an end very soon. School will be starting back up before I know it. Part of me is excited to see all my classmates again and get back into a routine, but another part of me just wants this summer to last forever! I had so much fun going on adventures, makingmemories with my friends and family, and just being a total kid without any responsibilities for a couple months. If I篇6My Life as a Ninth GraderHi there! I'm a 9th grader here in China studying English from the People's Education Press textbooks. Unit 14 is all about expressing hopes and ambitions for the future. I have a lot of hopes and dreams that I'd love to share with you!First off, I really hope I can become a stellar student and get into a top university. My parents are always nagging me to study harder and get better grades. Sometimes it's super annoying, but I know they just want what's best for me. They didn't get to go to university themselves so they're really pushing me to take advantage of the opportunity.I have to admit, some subjects are a total snooze-fest. Like history class when the teacher drones on and on about ancient dynasties and wars. I just zone out thinking about playing video games or watching anime. But English is one subject I actually find pretty interesting! Learning about different cultures and being able to communicate in a global language is super cool.My biggest ambition is to become an English translator or maybe even an interpreter working with big companies. That way I could travel all over translating at important business meetings and conferences. How awesome would it be to visit places like New York, London, Sydney and be able to smoothly interpret between the languages? I'd be like a super skilled linguistic ninja!Living in another country isn't all I dream about though. I may seem like a little kid still, but I've actually thought a lot about my own future family life too. I really hope I can find an amazing partner someday who shares my values and life goals. Someone who will be an equal partner in raising kids and doing all the household responsibilities. So many of my friends' parents have really old-fashioned relationships where the mom does absolutely everything at home while the dad works crazy hours at the office. That seems like an obsolete model to me.No, I want my future spouse and I to be a totally balanced, modern team. We could take turns cooking healthy meals, since I've watched my mom in the kitchen enough to pick up some skills. We could make it a family routine of all doing chores together on the weekends while blasting our favorite music and having dance parties. I can't wait to someday have little kids ofmy own and get to play all the latest video games with them! Of course, I'd have to set reasonable time limits so they don't become too addicted. Moderation in all things, as my grandma always says.No matter how much people warn me that kids are a huge responsibility, I still look forward to experiencing parenthood one day. I'd get such a kick out of helping my future children with their homework, just like my parents help me now. Can't you picture me, the cool middle-aged dad, trying to explain algebra or analyze ancient poems with them? Hopefully they'll find me a lot more fun and relatable than my teachers!Other ambitions of mine include being a volunteer tutor or mentor to underprivileged kids who really struggle in school. It would be so satisfying to spark their love of learning and give them the tools for a brighter future. I could draw on my own experiences of finding certain subjects difficult and share tips for staying motivated. Maybe I could even start a free tutoring program when I'm older.Well, those are just some of my hopes and dreams that I think about as a 9th grader here. Looking to the future can be both exciting and daunting. There's so much potential but also so many challenges ahead. Luckily, I've got plenty of time toprepare and figure it all out. For now, I'll just keep working hard, staying focused, but also trying to enjoy every day of my youth. Excuse me while I go play some video games! Just don't tell my parents!。
